Beautiful place with a stunning vineyard.
They have an entry fee for a 12-month period, which is definitely worth paying. They sell their own wines, which are made from the fruits growing in their vineyard. Stunning restaurant and many other places to experience. It is definitely a place to visit.

Its a good store, but some of the cashiers are not friendly to everyone, and they give bad service 👎
Beautiful place with beautiful nature. We went for the olive oil and balsamic tasting. It was the best! Highly recommend. We saw them decanting the balsamic which is once a year!!! We tasted and made our own blend. We went to the greenhouse for lunch and it was also great. Ordered burger, fried potatoes and potato gnocchi. The wine was great too. We walked around the farm and had a blast tasting different berries and picking small things to try around. A must go place in your visit to cape town.
The new and improved Deli Cafe is beautiful with friendly staff. They have a great spread and amazing coffee. They are pet friendly and even brought my puppy his own bowl of water. Highly recommend!
What an excellent display of the best South Africa has to offer to tourists and locals. Well kept gardens, orchids and pathways.
The staff is friendly and professional. The annual fee for locals is so affordable. Every time I visit there is a new beautifully designed and cleverly thought through section to the garden. Family friendly environment. The kids love the interactive reptile sculpture display where they can play in the water. The water channels brings so much joy. Coffee and baked goods at the sweet and ice cream shop are delicious. Fresh produce from the farm shop is of excellent quality. Food in the greenhouse restaurant is a little expensive but again so delicious.
My favourite is the quiet pathway through the forest area following the stream further away from the huzzle and buzzle of everyday farm life.

The Deli Cafe has moved from shop no 3 to shop no 1. Much bigger and fresh.
I came to visit the "farm" as highly recommended and the place is amazing, I was also recommended to try the restaurant but this was well below average, the 🍔 burget looked excellent but we asked for rear cooked and was well done, both of them. The place is a must as this is very relaxing, see many different gardens and water in, the ice-cream were very good and we had no time for wine test, so even the food was not OK the place deserves a second chance. I did not like that even for going to restaurant you need to pay 100 rands fee but...
This is the most stunning place in Franschhoek! The garden has some charming treasures that lurk hidden in the ground! The farm stall is just splendid, always fresh product & very friendly staff! The staff all around are super pleasant to talk with, couldn’t be any better! This is my go-to place while I am out in the wine lands.

Fantastic delivery service: gorgeous free range produce, friendly professional service, beautifully curated and packaged goods, great tracking app. So appreciated the gifted Heritage Day borewors! Suggestion: invite people to recycle the jars and get them picked up on delivery? They’re so beautiful and branded but go in my recycle bin!
In a good way, stepping into Babylonstoren felt like discovering the Disneyland of wine estates. Each corner revealed charming boutique stores and immaculately tended gardens. The wine tasting was a journey of flavours, enriched immensely by the genuine warmth and stories shared by Jamie Lee and Zanthé. Their passion and expertise shine brightly, making them true treasures in this enchanting setting.
Can genuinely stay this was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. It's absolutely stunning. The rooms are fully stocked daily with fresh fruit, wine, and some other surprises. The food throughout the property is farm to table and you can taste how fresh it is.
I would definitely recommend that travelers staying at Babylonstoren dedicate one day to their onsite activities! We very much enjoyed the Olive Oil tour, Cellar tour, bread baking, garden walk, mountain drive, and more! Also, Italian night at the Bakery was spectacular!

It was very busy with long queues
Fantastic place. For a small entry fee you are able to take a stroll through the historic farm and gardens. Lots of artisan shops to see how things are made and buy produce. On a nice sunny day you could walk for hours through the gardens and just enjoy. Highly recommended.
This place doesn't even deserve a single star. If you forget to place your things at parcel counter when you get out of the store they will accuse you of shoplifting. 💀.
A delightful little coffee shop and bakery! Friendly service, delicious wholesome food. We had the breakfast roll which was tasty with generous bacon portion and avo on toast. The coffee was good too! Will definitely be back!
Breakfast bun and a coffee special is must! Fresh produce and baked goods. I must say as of late the fruit and vegetables have been on point buying for the whole family. Baked goods is a definite. Graeme is such a cool guy and great owner

Im so angry with Shoprite City View Durban..last month i bought rotten meats same thing happened couple of days ago i bought rotten cow liver pity that i only saw it when i wanted to cook the meat..im no longer gonna buy shoprite meat.
It is possible to buy a very nice and originally baked Italian croissants. Also the other patisserie is Italian and is very well baked. Thanks Justin.

The Glenwood area is littered with reckless Checkers delivery bikes zipping around ignoring traffic lights, stop streets, speed limits, and the safety of other motorists. Simply reckless. I have had enough, so will no longer shop anywhere near Davenport Centre. Nor will family and friends. Absolutely disgusting.
I visited the farm it feels like you are in one of those Hollywood movies filmed in Africa. So beautiful freshe produce especially there Orange and macadamia nuts. Stunning landscape very clean. Strongly recommend visiting the farm and don’t miss there ice cream.
Babylonstoren is definitely one for the books! I’ve read a few reviews saying that there was an unexpected entrance fee to the premises, although we were not charged upon arrival, an R80 entrance fee is completely justifiable. This farm is beautiful beyond measure, exceptionally well maintained and offers an abundance of fresh produce from fruits and veg, delicious juices, signature wines as well as other small healthy snacks to take home. The granola we took home was surprisingly very spicy with hints of masala, weird for a breakfast option - it has quite a kick. There are lovely restaurants and wine tastings and the Greenhouse restaurant has a great menu! We initially came for a massage which was amazing but we left with so many other amazing memories too. Will definitely be back very soon! OH and PS. The donkeys DO bite :/
Worth a visit if you’re in the area! They have all kinds of treats that make good gifts, and their light lunches are freshly prepared. The porch seating is lovely.
I actually do not shop at checkers davenport as often as I would like because you can never just pop in and out...they've got something wrong, because there's always always always long queues. At the cake/bread counter you dont know where to stand to get served..it's sort-of separated, but if you stand at cake side, you will wait forever. Staff are slow and not friendly.
I am surprised at some of the comments...I wonder how they can say it smells fresh and clean. You actually have a cramped feeling in this shop and I certainly don't feel a fresh and clean atmosphere.

Opens at 9am while other stores are open at 7:30... No convenient at all
Store is alright, well stocked, 9/10 find what you want and then some. Improvement on the cashier's speed during peak times may add value to the experience. Deli services and quality also need improvement.
12 years now i doing this job tiling and painting, carpenter, shower floors,waterproofing is well. Guys to be patient is important for you in life.

Breakfast at the Babel restaurant is a real treat. We keep coming back for special occasions because although it is not cheap it is well worth the expense. Great seasonal food, more than enough to satisfy, in a beautiful place with excellent friendly service. Finished off with a stroll through the gardens. I can't think of a better way to start the day or to celebrate an occasion.
I wish I could provide names but I don't want to get people fired as we're facing so much problems in our country's economy but management please step in. Your team needs training when in it comes to customer service. You can even send them to Gingindlovu Shoprite or even your branch across the road so they can see how it's done! Kubi
I used to work there when it was still safe.
It's ok it's not s posh shopping mall but you can shop there Shoprite has what you need and then there is Pep and Ackermans the bank machines so it's better than it use to be there is more to the centre now . I'm grateful because Newlands east does not have much .
Wverything is easy compared to the other shoprites in the CBD . Lines move faster . Service is better

You check opening times on Google maps and it says "confirmed by this business 4 days ago". The opening times are 8am but you get there at 8h15 to find not even the mall doors are open! Really inconvenient, I don't know if this is false advertising because had I known that you open at a later time than 8am, I would have gone somewhere else. I now have to go and suggest opening times on Google for Shoprite, 4 days after the owner confirmed the incorrect opening times!
Management don't follow up with complaints they just don't care about the customer experience.
Announcements over the PA system is so loud its totally disrespectful to customers. When I say loud..... it's LOUD! Managers say they'll look into it but never do.

Their cold cuts fridge is so warm it's basically room temperature and you can see the food start to get that brown hard outer part around the edges. Not appetizing at all. The staff are great though so they get 2 stars for good staff.
Queues unnecessarily long. Layout and service shows lack of thought. Checkers Newlands city has system limitations rather than human issues.
It has improved. Obviously new management, as the cashiers are friendly, and the queues are quicker. Plus their wine shop is brilliant! Who would have thought you could buy wine from Italy? Its a good shopping experience! The rest of Checkers should use this place as a model!
What a convenient shopping complex/mall for the community of Matlala, Moletjie & other surrounding areas. It is understandable to have long queues in this center looking at the areas that it is providing services to, but I would rather stand on the queue for 30mins than going all the way to Polokwane or Mokopane to buy basic household items such as maize meal, washing powder, milk, etc. However, additional supermarket chains such as Super Spar & Pick n' Pay family market will make a huge difference. This will also help to ease pressure from shoprite that is always overcrowded. Nevertheless, A big Thank You to all the role players who contributed towards the establishment of this center. My biggest highlight is the introduction of a proper petrol station (Engen Garage) next to the mall, as well as ATM machines. Much appreciated 🙏🏾

What a great place to meet friends for breakfast. This is the first time we have been there (certainly not the last) and were welcomed by friendly staff and management, the service was prompt, the coffee delicious and the breakfast bun (bacon egg and onions) was scrumptious.

There are two Shoprites facing each other on this road. The staff working there and the managers should be fired because they put dirt on bread worth R5.

It's a nice small Hall but when I went to the toilet not even one toilet had toilet paper xI was amazed because you can see it's new building what positive there have underground parking I was relieved because it was very hot yesterday so I parked my car there

It's a bit pricey for our rural setting and they will inflate prices unexpectedly which is annoying and inconvenient. I don't like how they put only a few items on the shelves that are on promo/sale because that's when you get to save.
The attitude of some cashiers when they have to give you Cash Back is unfair on customers because if you call the manager you end up getting the cash.
Otherwise, Brandon is proactive as a Controller which shows that the Manager - Tebogo - is on top of his game. And I like that he interacts with customers and is available and visible on the floor.
Please stock up more dairy free products.

Good shop with quality food they have is the best.They have reasonable prices when it comes to their product and they have good food and so on they have good services when it comes to Tellers who have that customer service and they are best on what they doing in shop
Shoprite is the worst retail store 😡😡😡 I had Bad experience in two Different Stores , The one in Pinetown and Last week in this Shop I bought mince meat, it was off , beef was rotten , and Pork was worse it even had greenish Colour. When you look in the fridges their meat looks fresh on the Top , when you get home ,all the meat underneath if rotten, It like they don't throw rotten stock 😡😡😡😡
The cashier at the till denied me right to use the stamps just because there was a looting that took place simetime ago. I was so embarased and I had to leave my trolley that was filled with items as I had no money and I thought I will use these stamps that I had saved up to pay for my items. The manager also failed to assist as she said they wont be able to help because they are unable to verify whether these stamps where looted or not. I had to leave without my groceries and at a vulnerable state as well... THANK YOU SHOPPRITE BRICKHILL FOR THE POOR SERVICE...

The store has lost its sense of customer service. It used to be one of the busiest and best SHOPRITES in Durban but I.have saw ok customer service skills from staff.
Bakery goods are simply revolting as had been here after a good few years and purchased from their bakery and the items were of a very poor quality. Definitely needs a lot of change in terms of service and presentation.

Last visit was on the 4th of November. It wasn't so crowded. But the service was entirely poor. You can actually stand in the line for about an hour. The thing is they're too slow, they scan one item then talk to the other colleague. It's frustrating. The other thing is when the colleague comes with an item, asks the cashier to get it scanned so she can pay while the cashier is assisting me. Who does that? Everything should be about putting the customer's needs before yours. I really wish their Manager could look into this.

I swear the consumer service at this store is appalling. I approached the front end controller by the name Sabelo or Sanele Ntuli at the kiosk to give me a sachet of Citro soda and he explicitly told me to open my eyes and look for it at the cosmetics section of the store despite having looked here first. I'm beyond disappointed in the kind of consumer service given to black consumers in this particular store. He was bold enough to continue his conversation with his colleagues instead of attending to the reason he has a job in the first place - a paying consumer
Life is easy for us living in radius of 4km from shorpright,we buy grceries at any given time. We buy fresh and hot bread,there is money market. We do shopping for variety things.
