Incredible history here as well as modern day sports/football stadium

I have been here multiple times and spent time on the stadium looking around as well at the pool. Both incredible on a wa summer day

Easy S-Bahn transportation to get to/from

Since there is the special Olympics world games Berlin 2023 being held here during 17-25 June and I have chance to be a part of such great event as a volunteer, I could visit this world-wide known scenic spot. Really magnificent and do prepare walking with a pair of comfortable walking shoes as have to walk tons to explore such impressive places surrounding
Will keep uploading pics to show this place and games this period 👍🏻

The Olympiastadion is a sports stadium at Olympiapark Berlin in Berlin, Germany. It was originally built by Werner March for the 1936 Summer Olympics. During the Olympics, the record attendance was thought to be over 100,000. Today the stadium is part of the Olympiapark Berlin.

Since renovations in 2004, the Olympiastadion has a permanent capacity of 74,475 seats and is the largest stadium in Germany for international football matches. The Olympiastadion is a UEFA category four stadium.

Besides its use as an athletics stadium, the arena has built a footballing tradition. Since 1963, it has been the home of the Hertha BSC. It hosted three matches in the 1974 FIFA World Cup. It was renovated for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, when it hosted six matches, including the final. The DFB-Pokal final match is held each year at the venue. The Olympiastadion Berlin served as a host for the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup as well as the 2015 UEFA Champions League Final.

It will host the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship final, including 5 other games.

This is a very important monument to visit if you get the chance. The ticket price is very reasonable (under 20 euros a person). It is absolutely vast, and has been immaculately well maintained, it's a great vision into the troubling past of Germany, and how the country has managed to overcome that by repurposing the venue. Next time I am in Berlin, I will definitely have another visit

Steeped in history. Great value and my guide (Danish born lady) was excellent in showing us around and conveying the history of the site. A must visit
