Newark Parking Authority

They really need to upgrade their system and staff. So many miserably awful people are working for this unreliable government organization that we as the people pay for. Just to be mistreated and taken advantage of, these people are clearly under paid and just looking to put people in the same position as them mentally and physically. I was harassed and assaulted by one of these (parking attendants) who call themselves officers?….I am completely disgusted with this system and I wait for the day this system is broken along with the people inside of it who I wish I knew the names of.

It's seems like Carlos Soto Jr is out here giving false tickets to people who paid their parking including me. Four(4) tickets within a 4 month period by this man that I have to fight in court to prove I paid!

I keep calling and making complains because here on North 12th Street parking is horrible. Everyone leaves there car in double parking every night blocking other people vehicle without knowing them. My husband and I are always late to work because others blocking our vehicle and not coming outside to move them. It last us about 2-3 hours to get someone to come out and most of the times we having our own vehicle end up paying an uber in order to get to work. They should take action on this.

The individual meters have been removed in Newark along the streets. Instead, you have to walk to one meter that may be on the opposite side of the street that serves the entire block. There are no signs posted for this on certain streets, even though there is signage for other parking regulations and plenty of street light poles. There is no free parking in this city! Be aware, or you will get a $45 ticket like I did.

Stopped on bust stop for 15 seconds waiting for a car that was leaving to move so I could park my car in front of my building, Mashall Simon came to me and told me , “I got you and don’t argue with me”. I took 15 seconds because the car in front of me was wait for traffic to clear. When your are blocked in double park, no one is there to help you. This is ridiculous.

So sick of that pig called CARLOS SOTO JR. He gave me a ticket at least 3-4 times, way before the meter even expired. I called the number and spoke to someone. She was useless and seemed like she doesn't even know what she's doing. Now I gotta pay another $45 for no reason.

I had 7 minutes left on the meter and they still gave me a ticket!!! I'm calling the number they have here online and it just cuts off without a ring, now I'm calling the Newark Municipal Court and I've been on hold for over 20 minutes. 🤦‍♂️ Who do I talk to that can help me ?? Because Carlos Soto Jr is not doing his job properly.
