The Majestic Theatre

Had my sons surprise birthday party here and they were very helpful I would definitely use it them again ,every one had a great night

Soo, I've been here a few times for parties and it has been great! The venue is nice and the staff are generally very nice!

I was due to have my 30th birthday party here. I the 28/10/2023

So, on Thursday, 26/10/2023 I get a missed call and voicemail from a number that I do not recognise and the voice mail literally says "This is a message for Richard, call us back on extension 15" and that was that.

So being a normal person, I didn't call back as I had absolutely no idea who it was that had called me. I must add here that absolutely no further efforts where made to contact me.

So, the 28/10/2023 I arrived at the venue at 7:30 as per my booking, to find the doors are locked. So I call the number above the door about 25times before I get an answer. When I do get an answer I am told that my party can not be held there as they are currently experiencing licensing issues. And that nothing can be done.

So my 1 star rating comes both from the disappointment of being let down on my birthday party as well as the absolutely horrendous communication skills of the staff and booking team.

I definitely will not be making use of this venue for future events.

Had my little grandsons birthday party today, lovely staff, great play are and it’s all just a lovely size for kids-and parents, he had his party there last year as well which says something, great place

The show we saw was brilliant, the entrance and bar area was lovely. The theatre room and seats it's self seemed very run down in comparison to the rest of the building. Seating was ripped or torn broken seats, holes in walls. Not very clean. The staff however was friendly and helpful. Could just do with some investment in the theatre area (hard in this current climate)

Held a party in the bar upstairs. Staff were great and super helpful with every aspect of the event, setup and execution. Highly recommend if you're looking for a venue for a Party! Thanks to Peter and the team!

A great trip to the theatre, we have been a handful of times all for different shows. A good local venue and a great community space!

Great to see the seats are going to be redone soon, and can't wait to get my little plaque on there :)

Great little theatre with local shows on. The bar is fairly priced, tickets are really good value. I've seen 2 pantomimes here now produced by the theatre and they've been professional, funny and all round entertainment for the whole family.

The seats are falling apart a little however, they have a campaign going on to help change that through donations and it didn't take away from the whole experience.
