I have walked by this place countless times and ate here (finally) the food was delicious, the staff were friendly and the restaurant although small felt like a very nice place to be. A true gem in an otherwise grey place

Great choice of food and drinks available. All the staff are friendly and accommodate each persons special requests regarding the food. I can't fault their Smashed avocado on sourdough with poached egg. It's definitely the best around. The only issue I have found is that sometimes it can be so busy, and you can't get a table. It's definitely worth a visit, and I think you will go back again and again just like us.😁👍

Fantastic, friendly, relaxed little restaurant with character and charm. Great choice of breakfast, brunch and lunch. Five of us had breakfasts which came to £80 including drinks (incl 2 beers for my brother who had just finished night shift so that's ok 🤣). Three of us are veggie and the food is clearly marked as veggie friendly where applicable.
The Wandering Duck was only a five minute wander from our apartment which was great. This delightful restaurant was recommended to us and we will be delighted to recommend it to you. ❤️

Visited last week for a late breakfast with my friend. The food was really lovely. Staff were really polite and friendly. The place looked clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again.

Hmm. Our first exchange with staff was to be told they were closing at 3.30 and were only serving drinks and snacks(it was 2.45). Not the warmest of welcomes. The coffee and cakes were very nice and the price ok. The family on the table next to us were having a heated argument and two of them walked out 🙄. Every other customer that walked in got the same warm welcome ( we are closing in .....). About 15.15 they brought the bill to us and asked us to pay. We left at 15.25. No tip was given.

Today was my first visit after hearing many good things. Decided to go for the May brunch special, Turkish Eggs, poached eggs on garlic and lemon yoghurt with chilli and oil served with toasted sour dough bread. Yes, it sounds a bit bizarre but was absolutely delicious. I am very much hoping to find an excuse to go again very soon. The service was spot on and the prices are very reasonable for the high quality food served.

A lovely impromptu lunch, we hadn't reserved just walked in and luckily there was a table for 2. I had the open bacon and brie sandwich, and my friend had the eggs benedict. Was bloomin delicious 😋
