Went for breakfast even though we are not sofitel guests and they were very welcoming. The service was wonderful. They offer buffet breakfast- 3 different type- all inclusive, only hot foods or only cold foods and pastry.
We did not have the buffet, instead ordered Al a carte. The omelette was made fresh to order and was fluffy and light. The minute steak was generous and worth its price. Eggs were cooked perfect. I didn't like how 3 people were charged for filter Coffee even though only 2 drank. Otherwise a nice place.

A Take Off on Greek Cuisine!
There seems to be too few airport hotel restaurants that provide authentic and enlightened cuisine. This one does a great job but it will cost you.
When you think Greek you think lamb, Gyros or a salad of the same name. Here, however, they up their game through innovations of new styles of cooking, international flavours and good time tested fresh Greek produce.
It’s kind of pricy for Greek standards but still a good deal compared to international counterparts.

Airport hotel restaurant that is not bad at all. We stayed at the Sofitel Athens Hotel during our 12 hour layover and the restaurant is on the first floor It comes expected with the higher than normal price range but the two items we got fed our cravings. We got a margherita pizza and steak with fries.
We were first served bread which was surprisingly cold. We requested warmer bread and gotten freshly baked ones. The pizza was above average using higher quality cheeses than what I am used to at other hotels. The bread/crust is a little thick than I would like but otherwise it was tasty.
The steak surprised me those most. It was deliciously cooked medium rare. The fries were good as well. Overall if you are staying at the Sofitel Athens hotel for a short period of time, this restaurant will satisfy your hunger cravings until your next flight.

Great place to eat some traditional Greek Food in a modern setting. Not like typical hotel restaurants. They have some nice wines too. I also had rib eye steak here, and it was actually good! ( the Greeks are terrible at making beef steaks)

Its not often a restaurant can take your expectations and completely blow them out of the water. The other way unfortunately.
I did not expect much, being a hotel restaurant with a captive audience 1hr away from the city, I really did not have high hopes. Even that low bar was able to be taken lower by the restaurant.
The service was painfully slow, which I can ignore given the labor shortage and all. What I cannot ignore is the horrible food at a premium price. We had a rice dish, a pasta dish, and a pizza to share. I honestly had better food coming out of a microwave, which coincidentally is what everything tasted like. The pizza was 100% without a doubt frozen and thawed in an oven for a few minutes. The pasta and rice were mush and bland.
Do yourself a favor, you'd have better food eating at the airport.

Listen...this is supposed to be a 5-star hotel, so you expect a certain level of service at its partnered restaurants. I understand that Greek hospitality may be slightly different than Canadian/American, but considering its proximity to the Sofitel hotel, and the prices (€18 for a dry club sandwich and €16 for a, admittedly good, margarita pizza topped with not-so-fresh basil), one just assumes that the food and general service will be the best. For comparison, many restaurants in Athens serve the same thing for under €12, and the portions are bigger, too. Your total bill for two people will usually be under €20-€25, not including alcoholic beverages.
I will say that the dessert was very good.
It also took 15min for a server (not the one assigned to us) to make eye-contact because we wanted more water. We felt ignored by the staff, which sort of dampened our experience.

Food at the premium hotel at the airport. We ate a dinner of salads and 2 main meals and dessert. Ridiculously expensive and average quality at best, flavors bland or non existent. Menu items not well described and very difficult for people with food intolerances to navigate. French hotel chain you should be ashamed with this restaurant in one of your properties! Hotel itself is nice enough so that’s a plus.
