Calming Experience. Air is pure due to surrounding forest. Monkeys are entertaining. Caves are filled with different carvings of Buddhism. Great place to explore with family & friends.

Carved into black stones, the historic caves reside within the National Park, accessible via a bus from the park entrance.

The optimal time to explore is late August through September, as summers can be quite demanding for a visit.

This historical site is a must-visit destination.

The historic caves are carved in black stones. The place is inside the National park. There is a bus facility from the National park entrance to here. The best time to visit will be August end and September. The summer will be very hectic to visit this place. The place is historical and a must visit place.

Lovely caves. It will take you to old medieval times. The cave 3 is really great. Moreover the caves are really well maintained by ASI. Its a must visit if you are in Mumbai. But beware of the monkeys.

Great place to visit in heart of Mumbai. It's best to visit during rainy season, it's green all around.

Some areas may get slippery so wear good footwear and walk carefully. There are total 109 caves here, all are not accessible. Area is kept clean.

It’s a beautiful place. An ancient place for a Buddhist monk temple. More than 100 small caves are there.

One important thing you have to remember when you want to visit this place that is lots of monkeys. They are attached if you have any shopping bags or even water bottles.

In the heart of the busiest city of the country Mumbai. This is a protected land for the Tribals who dwell here for centuries.
You will find people trekking and school/college goers cycling in the premises.
There are four ways you can the reach the caves from the main gate: cycling, trekking/walking, bus service and reserved shuttle car for tourists.
The visit is worth it, with century old caves and scriptures with picturesque view will make your day!
