Tried this new spot with the granddaughters and what a neat place! Definitely gives you an island vibe and designed so that each ride is separated enough from the others that you can queue without being on top of the other customers. There's places to get food, locker rooms complete with showers, an adult-only area that has its own pool and wet bar and cabana-style gathering areas with TVs. The slides are several stories in height! There's a lazy river, kids' pools and slides, a wave machine and an arcade out front. Pro-tip: get your tickets online before arriving and on your email receipt will be a code you can use for free parking! Otherwise it costs $25. Bonus Pro-tip: bring towels. They don't provide them but I think they should and maybe that'll be something added later 😉.

My family went on a Monday and it was a wonderful experience’ my kids had a great time. The only issue we had was the “lifeguards”. There was a situation and they completely disregarded it. A child fell thru one of the floats on the lazy river and my husband and friend had to rescue the child while the staff did nothing and when we told them they completely ignored us… not a thank you . Not nothing.. it was like we weren't even there. But other than that…. My children and friends we went with had a great time!!

The water park itself is gorgeous. However, I don’t think it has enough to keep the children entertained for a long time. The location of it is also not the best. I stayed in the Showboat hotel and I don’t think it’s too kid-friendly, so I personally would not recommend staying in the hotel if visiting the water park. Overall, I consider it a one-time visit type of deal but that’s about it.

I’ve been to the Showboat in AC in the past, but I must say Island waterpark gave it a much needed facelift. The hotel and waterpark are nice. Everything is very clean and very organized. The walk from the boardwalk to the waterpark help desk is a bit of a long one. Signs are pretty clear in terms of directions but still a bit of a walk. Once you collect your wristbands at the desk, you have to walk some more. At the very entrance of the waterpark, you’ll find security checking bags. Once inside you immediately see the water slides, a lazy River, two bars, a small surfing simulator area and a line of food vendors. It was a cloudy chilly day so we had no problem being at the waterpark because it’s indoors. But for some reason they had the ceiling retracted so it was a bit chilly. Aside from that the pools are not heated. My real issue with this waterpark is, they already have limited amount of things to do, they have very strict restrictions on their slides. My two year old niece wasn’t allowed on the only kiddie ride in the entire waterpark. She was two inches to short. Luckily at that age she was able to go in free, but poor thing was heartbroken when she got to the “top” of the slide and was asked to get down. Even with her mother willing and able to hold her hand down the slide. Yes… it’s that small, that as she’s sitting at the “top” you can stand on the side of the slide and hold a child’s hand as they make their way down. Extremely disappointing. We, the adults managed to get on some slides. When we managed to climb 5 flights to get to the top of one in particular, they asked to weigh us. I wasn’t sure how I felt about that. Had I been overweight and asked to go back down after all that climbing, I would have been livid. I feel that’s something that needs to be taken care of at the very bottom of the slide, before making the climb. Same with the kiddie slide. Please disclose this info with signage or at the front desk when you have guests pick up their bands. If you are breast feeding mom, please be aware there is nowhere to properly feed your infant if you are looking for privacy. We had to help a family member make her own little space to do so but it was not a comfortable experience for her. Seating is difficult. My family and I went on a Thursday and it was nowhere near being at capacity, and still we found ourselves looking for somewhere to sit. They do have lockers and changing rooms by the restrooms. Overall, the waterpark is nice. But I wouldn’t take children under a certain age. Height requirements will limit them from really enjoying themselves. One thing that made us adults happy were the bars. We had some pretty good drinks made. But other than that, really not much else going on.

The place is beautiful. But not worth the money for families with children under 7/8 years old. We bought our tickets online with the buy 3 get 1 free deal. Total was $304.72. We walked in through the entrance that said Island Water Park. When we got there, They said we had to go around back to the front desk to check in and get wristbands. Purchasing online is only cheaper. You still need to wait in the line to pick up your bands. The line wasn’t too long. But there should be a better system. Lots of people had to walk back and forth because of this. Then you have to walk back to the water park entrance. On our way back to the entrance, we bought 2 coffees from the hotel itself. The cups said Island on them. They would not allow the coffees to enter. No outside beverages, including from the hotel itself. We have a teenager and a 5 year old. Our 5 year old was only able to do one kiddie slide, the pool, and the lazy river. The lazy river was very basic. The place is great for 8 year olds or older. Staff was very professional and nice. No complaint there. Again, beautiful but not worth is for families with young children.

It's very modern and clean. The walking surfaces in the water areas such as the slides, steps, etc. They are very soft and comfortable for your feet. I would say their slides are kinda of like thrill ones. They are very fast and fun. I wouldn't recommend going here with kids under like ages 6 or 7 (unless they are free as there really isn't much for them to enjoy). They offer discount pricing from 5 pm to close, which is more than enough time to enjoy everything here. I would not recommend going prior to 5pm/paying full price. I feel it's too expensive for what it has to offer.

Reading the in between reviews online. I had to go myself. Great park for 6/7 years and up. This park isn’t geared for little ones at all. They have a kids cove and my almost 2 year old couldn’t go on the slide because she’s not tall enough. Water Slides all around. There is about 10 water slides, one 3 feet pool and the main attraction the lazy river. Just a basic water park that’s over priced and clean.
Great concept to finally have something for the kids since all the pools in hotels are adult only.
The food is the usually line up ; chicken tenders fries pizza and etc.
The place is very clean. The cleaning crew was always around picking up garbage and cleaning tables down. There is a place to rent towels if you want. But bring your own. Some of the life guards are very friendly and some of them not so much. This is a kids water park. Let’s have a little more patience.

My complaints would be
1. Admission is too expensive.
2. No lounge chairs. No chairs to lay down with your little ones to take a nap or just to even relax while the old kids play.
3. Adult island - this should be included with the admission price. Not a separate fee.
4. Cabanas are expensive as well and there not even all that.
