Relaxing, clean and friendly people along the trail.

I completed the Mount Vernon bike trail from Alexandria to Mount Vernon and back to drop rental bikes off. It’s about 10 miles one way. I did both ways, it was difficult and takes about 3 hours to complete. I felt accomplished after completing it. I love biking but don’t get a chance to do often. This trail you will love.

Good trail. Watch for angry geese. Just don't look them in the eye and they may leave you alone. There is one in particular they all call "El Jefe". He perches upon a fallen tree log where his geese minions kneel before him. They plot devious plans on how to scare local trail runners for the day.

Beautiful trail and if you keep your eyes open you can possibly see eagles fly right by you. Angry Beavers slapping their tails

A great bike ride for most of this trail’s length. Some challenging sections with blind corners and tough hills. But would go again!

Great paved trail between DC and Mt Vernon. Parked at Jomes point rode to Mt. Vernon and back. Gets twisty and fun in some areas. Alternates from woods to Great views of the river. More hills than advertised gets hillier the closer you get to Mt. Vernon. Great ride.

I walked this trail in sections, but I did enjoy the challenge. Some sections have steep inclines and uneven pavement. There's also a part of the trail where it crosses GW parkway that is very dangerous.
