Unfortunately, when my class came here with my professor he was kicked out and our field trip had to be cancelled due to my professor giving a "free tour" without paying the museum 20 euros extra to be allowed to explain the different musical instruments to us. At least they had a remarkable group of instruments to look at! I would definitely love to come back if the staff was friendlier :)

A nice place to visit for music lovers and musicians. The entrance fee for students (3€) is quite worth it, given that I spent about 2h walking around and snapping pictures. There are many interactive exhibits where you can play & hear how the different instruments are supposed to sound like!

A must see for musicians! They have an impressive collection of instruments on display and the audio guide makes the museum come to life. This is an audiovisual experience more than informative. You can hear recordings of most of the instrument types, and it's a whole piece played rather than just a snippet of audio. My boyfriend is not a musician and he thoroughly enjoyed it, even if he was a little skeptical before we went. We were just walking around looking at amazing creations while listening to them on the headphones. A nice way to spend the afternoon

A remarkable museum with a strangely low number of visitors. The entrance fee is very low and yet there are hundreds of unique instruments here that are absolutely worth seeing in person. There are audio guides available for free and give good insights into the history and sound of many of the instruments on display. Occasionally the pipe organ will also be played.
If you have some spare time and you're in the area, this is worth the visit! Great value for your time and money.

As interesting as these instruments are, they could have done with more explanation and samples. Impressive collection but after 2 cembalos the other 20 are basically the same to me.

We took the children's tour, which has limited spaces (so book tickets in advance), but was really interesting. A variety of instruments are presented and the children get to try some of them as well.
The building is beautiful. Security if very strict.
Probably best for kids age 5 and up.

Nice niche and intriguing museum, however more like a instrument shop, everything is displayed at the hall. Not very friendly to English speakers, some staffs don’t speak English, no English translation on the signs anywhere, and very small poor quality lockers. BUT it’s a great place to go for music/instruments lovers.
