Market House

Was there watching the Veterans Day parade. The place is a historic reason to remind us how we don't want to be again. So we don't make this same mistake twice

This is a piece of history that I'm truly delighted I was able to touch, to feel. I wish there was a way to go inside and perhaps read material on this market house, yet, the door was locked.

This place in mentioned by former slave Sarah Louise Augustus in "My Folks Don't Want Me to Talk About Slavery" by Belinda Humerence. It took me a minute to find the location on the map, as I hadn't realized it was actually still standing. They should absolutely keep this piece of history up for the sake of telling the stories of the souls who went through the atrocities of its' time

Open to the public. The Latin dancers from nextdoor at Volta Space have been using this space for classes and social dancing lately. Fun times.

I had a friend visiting for the 4th of July holiday. He walked through downtown Fayetteville and visited the Market House.

Poor Building, that never did anything wrong; still caged-up...
