As always our lunch at The Oar was fantastic!
As a Virginian visiting LI, a trip to LI isint complete without having at least one Long Island Iced Tea and the one at The Oar always hits right. For appetizers, the baked clams and fried calamari was absolutely delicious. Each one of our seafood entrees were fresh and full of flavor. And the service is always excellent.

We went to hear a band and ended up having a wonderful dinner and evening.
Came back from Watch hill and hoped for a good seafood dinner... I had the fish and chips and my wife had the calamari, good portion but BURPED THE 0LD FRYING OIL FOR HOURS, yes both of us, we had taken some home but threw it all out as we did not want a repeat of this terrible greasy experience. Very expensive and could not even come close to the quality of Love fins food truck at Watch Hill (29.00 at Oar vs 19.95 at food truck) Will NOT return!!!

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our waiter was attentive. The atmosphere is great, right on the water. Open, light. Two critiques: I needed a new glass because it was dirty. The food was decent, sauce was a little watery but good. Dessert was delicious, better than the entree. I’d go back and try something different maybe for lunch instead of dinner.
Best of everything! Fantastic location. Came here on a Friday around 7 to celebrate daughters college graduation. The food was unbelievably amazing, drinks were on point! Scenery, breathtaking service FIVE STARS!! I’ll definitely be coming back again.
Beautiful atmosphere, it's not quite summer yet so it was too breezy to eat outside so I ate at their very nice bar. Even inside you feel like you're outside. Baked clams to start, lots of clam and other yummy things in those, excellent. Soft shell crab avocado sandwich was the bomb, plenty of avocado and crab, see picture. Oar fries were so good I took what I didn't finish home so my kids could try them.
I can't say enough! We had an event at the Oar last night and the they were on their A- game! Anything we needed, Donna was there in a snap. She had a solution for every speed bump I hit while setting up and a smile on her face the whole time. I've never been to their resteraunt or catering hall before and we took our chances. So glad we did! The scenery around the catering hall building wasn't great, but everything else was. I'm sure the resteraunt had a nice view, it's right in the water. We'll definitely be back for the resteraunt, and we highly recommend the catering hall
