The optometrist was very condescending….She charged me for a bogus exam and said she wanted to see me every 3 months!!!! She also decided to offer to share my appointment information with my partner as if I was a child!!! Privacy information anyone!!! I went to another optometrist and it was a great professional appointment!

Eilleen and the team @ Downtown Vision Care had big shoes to fill. I returned to Calgary in 2015 with new glasses and sunglasses from my Vancouver-based experts. When I upgraded in 2022, my research pointed to Downtown Vision Care.

Eilleen happily stepped up to the plate, answering every single question I had ... it was a long conversation!

Professional. Knowledgeable. Patient. Totally Approachable. Laser Focused on Customer Service.

I have wonderful new glasses and sunglasses ... and Mom has new reading glasses.

5 Star service from start to finish!

I had an emergency need for contacts for a day as a traveller who is moving to calgary and had my glasses script but not my contacts script. my optometrist back in toronto was closed and I didn’t have a specific contact lens script on me… but I had my eyeglass script… and they wouldn’t let me buy any or give me a sample. I can tell you having dealt with many eye and glasses clinic that this type of inflexibility is nonsense and hiding behind liability in a unique circumstance reflects poor leadership and I will make sure my family’s business never goes here if their employees can’t make a rational decision in unique circumstances. I spoke to a Brynn who would not be flexible which as a lawyer was very frustrating as there was zero risk to the clinic. Another optometrist Eyetometry accommodated me no questions and earned my loyalty and thousands in future dollars. Highly recommend them and will leave them a five star review. Phillip

I managed to bend my frames, and the folks at Downtown Vision Care made them "good as new" with their complements, even offering if I needed an additional tweak to come back.
THAT is customer service folks!

Our recent experience with Dr Norris and Brynn at Downtown Vision was excellent.
They went well beyond what would have been expected of an optometrist clinic and for that we are very grateful. We would not hesitate to recommend their services.

If you are someone who is looking to find nice glasses this place is for you. I’m wearing glasses for the past 22 years of my life, that means I have tried all the possible shops around Calgary, yet this shop has given me the best experience. Big thanks to Eilleen, she is one of the best optician that I was blessed to work with. With my high prescription, she took her time and found me exactly what I needed and wanted. I also love their warranty policy, that proves that their product is very high quality.
I’m wearing the best glasses in my life now, and never ever I was that proud to wear glasses as now. Thank you 🙏🏻.

I spent thousands of dollars at Visioncare for a prescription I was uncomfortable with, bizarre service when trying to buy contacts (she kept hedging and twisting and evading how many were in the box for what price). After weeks of waiting for glasses, the prescription was backwards as was the PD. I was charged $400 for thin coated lenses "because they are really thin and expensive". Steered away from frames I like, "because they'd look weird with your prescription". My advice from experience: Get a prescription from Walmart ($80) then buy online, "fully coated super expensive thin lenses" in great frames that you love all available for under $200 and received within a week; while the same pair with "fully coated super thin expensive lenses and frames" will cost $1000.00 plus $150.00+ for prescriptions that, in my case, were just never quite right, took forever to receive, and made me question the competency of the staff. For real problems see an ophthalmologist.
