We visited here for lunch three months ago and loved it, so, as we were in France again, we decided to return for dinner and an overnight stay. This hotel/restaurant is exceptional. The two people serving us (Les patrons?) are wonderful: welcoming, efficient, amusing. The food is such high quality, delicious and sourced locally where possible. Our bedroom was a delight: stone staircase leading to our room, original wood beams, stone sitting areas by the windows, spotlessly clean. I cannot praise le Passe Muraille more highly. Whenever we come back to this part of France we will plan our route to include this fabulous place. Merci beaucoup a tous xx

This is a colorful, restored place with a good traditional restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful when there was a reservation problem. Quiet. Nice breakfast .

Lovely lunch in this three star hotel and restaurant in the heart of La Souterraine. Traditional French ambience, white table cloths and slick waiters in crisp white shirts giving friendly but professional service. The menu is traditional, starting at a weekday Menu du Jour of about 15 Euros, which includes a mouth watering self-service starter of various salads. There are other more expensive all inclusive menus to choose from, as well as more exclusive A la Carte items. In summer you can eat in the private, shaded garden at the back of the hotel. A lovely experience.
