Built between 1766 and 1771 by Michele Gravina and Crujllas, prince of Comitini and praetor of the city, who entrusted the work to the architect Nicolò Palma. The Provincial Administration has been based there since 1860.

Lovely experience. I went as part of le vie dei tesori which runs in October. Our guides were confident, knowledgeable and the tour was extremely interesting.

Tours done on the hour of you furn up before. Ours was a bit quick paced, the building is in use by the regional government. Still an excellent site, i loved the massive Murano chandeliers.

Typical of Palermo. Walk through the dull functional reception area and be blown away but the incredible awesomeness inside. Free guided tours in English on request. Also look out for the portrait of Obi Wan Kenobi (kinda) ...
