Mama Trattoria

I love Mama Trattoria. It is my favorite restaurant in Hamburg.

Really good pizza! Both glutenfree and regular version! Not greasy at all, perfect.

We had a very large group and the waiter became very frustrated with us as we do not speak German, but other staff were very good. Food was good and nice restaurant. I would still go again in the hope that particular staff member has a better day

Very good value for the money
The service was for what they could do very good, sadly I must say to have just 2 waiters running the restaurant is just not enough, they have to cut short on some things. It's not fair to fault them, as I rather fault the management here.
Food is great, you can taste the woodfired oven almost
And everything looks nicely presented. Speedy as well we had no long waiting times. We ate at 6:30pm so not sure how it might me to the later hour.

The atmosphere was a bit too bright for me in the evening during lunch It's most likely appropriate, but in the evening I expect a bit dimmed lighting

The food was good, but we has to wait for a while with two young children, who was very hungry, until the food arrived. The portion of spaghetti bolognese was too small for our 6 year old son, so he had to eat some of his little sisters portion.

Always very tasty dishes made from fresh ingredients. You can choose from variety of different pastas and flour for the pizza dough (also gluten free, bio etc.). In menu also propositions for the vegetarians and children as well. Additional points for being family friendly. I strongly recommend that place. 👍
