Wickham Street Car Park

Great location for historic dockyards and gunwharf Quay. Cheap parking, but spaces are not the biggest. Disabled and parent parking on ground floor which is good as there is no lifts.

Within walking distance of the main gates of the Portsmouth historic dockyards and station and very reasonably priced.

Convenient location for the Gunwharf quays and the spinnaker tower. Very reasonable prices for the location and has a friendly attendant at the entrance and exit. Take a ticket from the machine before the barrier when entering, then when exiting, drive to the exit and give the ticket to the attendant and he will tell you how much to pay.

A great place to park a car.

It is even cheaper than the street parking while it is more secure. There is an assistant at the office during the opening hours.

It is also close to the railway station - 2 minutes’ walk, and 7-8 minutes’ walk to Gunwharf guays, so the location is superb.

Car park closes at 19:45. There is a sign but not a noticeable one dark green. Don't think it was lit. My car was locked in overnight. Had to arrange to be collected and pick my car up in the morning. Probably looking at at at least £12 in parking charges. Lessons were learned. Would have been nice if the guy in the pod had warned me but he was on his phone. Don't be caught out like I was.

Really close to the seafront, literally a 60 second walk from the entrance.

Turning into the car park is really tight and inside the car park it’s multi directional not one way, car park must have been designed for fiat 500 and smart cars because bigger cars don’t fit inside the designated lane. This isn’t a major issue unless it’s busy then it could get a bit tight.

No lifts here just stairs. No payment machine so you pay at the kiosk at the exit, there is a card machine and cash is accepted too. Great location!
