They denied my application for a savings account because I have a mailing address different from my domicile. The representatives I spoke to in an attempt to clear up the misunderstanding were condescending and rude, and were openly confused by the concept of someone having a mailing address. I was asked where I "actually' lived, and why I would provide two addresses - as if that were somehow cause for suspicion. All this hassle for a savings account? I'm an employee of the DOJ and yet I was treated like a potential criminal because I live and work in two different cities. I have never encountered such incompetence at any financial institution I have dealt with previously. Save yourself a headache and conduct your business elsewhere.

I wanted to get an auto refi as I have a high interest rate at BofA. I found their website difficult to navigate with a lot of details over my head so I went into a branch to apply. After over a week of back and forth where they said my residence was logged as a hotel (?) so I had to provide my license and rental agreement, the representative filed the application on my behalf filling out details and signing for me. He put that I was referred through someone I did not know, which should have been a red flag. Then they needed pay stubs for proof of employment even though this is literally the credit union through my work. Then I was told I need to create a checking and savings account before I can apply for an auto loan. After making an account, there didn't seem to be any way to create a login online to view it, because I needed to provide an account number I didn't know in order to log in. Then when I looked up my auto loan application on their website, it said that it was withdrawn. I could call and get this figured out I'm sure, but having looked at these other reviews, I think I'm just going to stop wasting my time. They quoted me a 2% lower rate than I currently pay but I'd rather pay a premium for sufficient service. What a headache.

Poor communication, our refinance rate DOUBLED and we have sufficient credit and money. We were referred to JFCU by a family member for a easy refinance process but it’s been horrible. A week for nothing.

I’ve ALWAYS had a great experience with JFCU, specifically my branch, in the 2CON building. Georgia is always patient, knowledgeable and helpful!! Nothing but good experiences there.

The main reason I opened an account here was that it looked like JFCU had decent mortgage rates. The problem was that once I found a home I was told they couldn't promise they could get all my paperwork done in time. Nobody seemed to be in a hurry or care anything about my real estate deadlines. Long story short - I went with a different lender. I also had a credit card with JFCU. My card was compromised (which I know was not their fault) however, i had several days in a row that had charges over $600 to the same merchant out of my state. When I called to report the fraudulent use of my card, I asked what the next steps were and they told me I had to wait a week to ten days to get paperwork to fill out. Good thing I took matters into my own hands. I had 2 pending fraudulent transactions (one for $1200 that I was able to get reversed since I took action and called the merchant to let them know what was going on). I am so disappointed to feel that first of all that JFCU must not have very good, if any, fraud prevention. I'm just glad it was not my debit card that was compromised. After all my bad experiences with them, I chose to cancel my account. To add insult to injury, they charged me a fee to cancel my account before a year had expired. So sad!
