An interesting monument to Cristopher Columbus where he does not appear prominently anywhere in sight. His nam eis on there, I guess but if nobody said anything You'd think it's just another random statue. Its a good landmark, that's about all that I can say about it.
Next to the neighborhood Santa Cruz, nice to see but not in our top twenty list of Sevilla.

One thing you learn right away is that Spain worships Columbus in its own way.
The surrounding area is quite nice, but the monument itself is kind of unimpressive; it's tall, that's about it. At least it's fairly close to the Plaza de Espana.

Nice garden area to take a break and appreciate the monument. Honors the king and queen at the time of his voyage. Fernando and Isabela were the ones who funded his voyage in return for the rights to his findings.
