Cool to check out at least once. A lot of stuff to see and do nearby. Great area.
Be sure to appreciate this sculpture from multiple angles. The monotone color and fluid shape allow the piece to be appreciated in many ways.
The Torch of Friendship was located right in Downtown San Antonio area. I was told 3 of these statues exist. One in Canada, another in Mexico, and this one in beautiful San Antonio.
The “Torch of Friendship” ( La Antorcha de la Amistad) was given to San Antonio by the Mexican Counsulate in 2002 as a sign of friendship. It is an abstract sculpture by Mexican sculptor Sebastian. This is a unique landmark in the center of downtown San Antonio.
Vivid, against San Antonio cityscape! I think the old ones, the priests and caretakers of what would become this great city, would approve!
San Antonio, Texas. What a beautiful city to visit. So much history and a ton of things to do for the entire family. We went for a convention for work. When we weren't working we were exploring the beautiful rivercenter. Amazing place it is. We also went to Six Flags. We had an incredible time. I would love to visit again one day.
