Very first and very last visit

A hidden gem of walks around the fishing lakes just outside Malvern. Well maintained grass areas round the small lakes making it a pleasure to walk around them and the young Christmas tree plantations with the views up to North Hill. No obvious access routes in, but look for the footpath signs along the road.

Beautiful place very peaceful, but the fishing is awful. We fished the bottom lake and we caught one fish all day, and the condition of the fish was appalling, it's lips were missing. We spoke to a couple who walk there regularly and was told the top three lake are empty, as they also have an otter problem, and the owner has no intention of restocking the pools.

Awful fishery, too weedy, too deep, not enough fish if any in the pool we fished, had heard a romour a otter has been on site, don't know if this is true, but we never saw a single fish rise or bask in the sun.
First and last time, waste of time effort and money.

Nice fishery plenty of pools to choose from, good fighting carp very eager to take your bait worth a visit give it a try. By the way the breakfast is excellent.

I was looking for somewhere to get a bend in the rod during the river closed season. I found the right place. I got a friendly welcome from the outset which always makes a big difference.The fish are superb. Hard fighting doubles. Beautiful scenery. OK...... It's a "commercial" which is not for everyone.... But it is an outstanding example of how to make a good one.
