A step back into history.
An amazing collection.

This museum is packed full of items from the DDR period of history. From very small items like craft tools to huge old vehicles and all sorts in between. A calm patio area overlooking open fields is a great place to relax with refreshments.

Very nice experience. Lots of things to see. Very big. It really worth to see it ! You can spend good hours just seeing the many things here. I totally recommend !

Very cool! As an American who was a child when the wall came down, I have no nostalgic connection to the DDR/GDR so I wasn't expecting much, but I found this museum to be quite interesting nonetheless.

It's an impressively large and cohesive collection of everyday objects from all walks of life during that time period, neatly organized and spread out through multiple buildings.

I particularly liked looking for East German/Russian "knockoffs"of western items like Legos.

Worth a visit if in the area!
