Tasted horrible and gave me food poisoning. Terrible experience

Always use Sun Yee but this time was not great. Far too many onions and mushrooms and not much chicken in the curry. Special noodles, one prawn and not much else. Was told 25 minutes for collection , waited nearly an hour, No apology for the time I was stood waiting. Maybe time to move on I think.

Ordered beef chow main it was really good the beef wasn't fat covered 1st time I had it but would definitely order it again also ordered Chicken chow main which was really good aswell very large portions very friendly delivery gave me 50% off because of a previous mistake highly recommended

Sun yee used to be my absolute favourite Chinese takeaway. Even when I visited family around the country and they said they had the best Chinese takeaway, it never lived up to Sun Yee. I forgave them when they would close for long periods and was happy to see their sign light up. I knew it was open again. Only the last time, it was different. I would put money on it now having new owners. Or new cook. unfortunately no where near as tasty as it once were, to point I would not order again and I’m on a hunt for new places to try. I am sad and reminisce the good old Sun Yee days.

I frequently ordered from this takeaway through the Just Eat app when I went to university in Sheffield. It is still, to this day, the best chinese food I have ever had. I would most commonly get the special fried rice which would come with a fried egg and char siu on top, with sweet and sour pork.

Been my fave Chinese for years and always enjoyed everything I ordered especially their salt and pepper king prawns 🤤they were always lovely and crunchy on the outside. Last night I ordered for the first time in maybe two months possibly more but the food was not the usual standard. I’m not sure if it’s under new ownership or a new chef but the dishes were completely different. I ordered garlic broccoli which usually comes with a lovely sauce and LOADS of garlic. But there was barely any garlic and the broccoli was extremely crunchy and had onions and carrots mixed with it, it’s just wasn’t as good. I also got my salt and pepper prawns they weren’t like normal at all they were almost soggy, was clearly a completely different batter that didn’t have much taste to it . First time I’ve been dissatisfied with my order☹️

Ordered food worth a total of almost £50.00 for delivery later this evening, when the delivery had not arrived I logged into Just Eat to find that the order had been cancelled as they decided not to open!...Having looked at other reviews it seems this is quite a common occurrence. Sadly it's somewhat of a shame as WHEN the order is accepted and delivered it's of excellent quality but not knowing whether your order is going to be 'accepted' or not is unforgivable and is the reason our £50.00 order will be given to other competition from now on!
