Attended a festive Christmas Carol concert over the weekend, where the welcoming assistants offered mulled wine and mince pies upon arrival. Try also did a really good job of getting everyone seated.

The brass band were amazing and the host was good and comedic and did a good job hosting it all.
The event featured a blend of modern songs and traditional carols with the engaged audience joyfully participating in the singing and activities.

The lively mix of humor and festive energy creates the ideal atmosphere for festive enjoyment leading up to Christmas.

Highly recommend!

Awesome place, well worth a visit... Check the tour start times before heading off. Very interesting history and you get to be a victim too, oh I mean helper :-) Wear walking boots or sturdy shoes.

Found in the pretty village of castleton.
Parking is at peak cavern car park postcode- S33 8WN , or the one by the visitors centre ( S33 8WH )
Toilets nearby, as well as a few cafes.
Tours are done on the hour.
They last an hour.
This is quite a historical tour, and you get alot of history and information rather than just looking around caves.
The walk around is fairly short although fascinating.
It's given by a tour guide.
A part of the walk requires you to bend and walk at the same time, so not advised for those with a severe bad back.
The floor is wet, and can be slippy.
Definitely walking boots or good gripped wellies required.
The temperature drops inside, so wear something warm.
It pays to buy tickets online as they're cheaper.
It's £20 for an adult at the entrance.
You can just turn up without a booking.
An interesting cave, and a great rainy day activity.
No toilets in the cave.... obviously!

So impressed with our visit, the tour guide was fab and we learnt so many interesting things about the cave! He was really engaging and fun.
My little boy had his monkey teddy and they even made him a ticket to hand in 🤗. My nephew also got to make a rope in the demonstration and we all had a really good time. Highly recommended!

An interesting site with a rich history and easily accessible from the town. However, the tour is quite short and you can walk around very little in the caves, which only covers three areas. Don’t expect any caving wonders such as stalagmites! Definitely overpriced for what it is. The name is the most captivating part of this attraction!

Loved it, tour guide was amazing. Very informative talk about how the cave got its unique name, and you bet we came away with a magnet for the fridge and a keyring to say where we had been 🤣

Looks amazing from the outside, but we didn’t go in as the tickets is £20 Per head. We have 9 of us and it would cost us almost £200. It looks pretty amazing from outside. The different colour of the back ground. Free parking nearby on street parking. Cafe is nearby if you need to get
Some tea and cake or lunch.
