Great food as always, but the staff aren't that friendly.

It’s a bit of a long haul to get to Fred’s, so I go on Saturday’s, but the stuff that’s on offer is well worth it. My second to last trip was almost my last, as the ladies behind the counter seemed rather disinterested in me as a customer, not welcoming at all. However 10 days ago I decided to give it one last try, and there was a gentleman in there, nice, friendly, and welcoming. What a difference a bit of customer service can make eh?

Love the Cabanossi, biltong, and biltong chips from here. Definitely worth the drive if you don't live over the shore.

We buy jerky here and we are satisfied with the quality. The staff is always polite and takes into account our wishes. Each time before buying, he asks what we would like and offers to try the selected piece!

Takeaway shop primarily for biltong and sausages, but really neat for me to see a place like this for the first time. The staff asked how we want it, firmness, seasoning, fat content, etc which then they cut it off the rack for you. Quick stop.
