Beautiful spot downtown with tons of history.
Lovely little square (triangle) but it's like the walking dead except with homeless folks
We took the tour of the underground tunnels in the area and had a great time. Lisa was our guide and kept the tour moving smoothly, informative and comical at times which lasted about an hour to an hour and a half. There was a group of about 25-30 of us. It was really cool to find out about all of the history of the town and the years of transformation. If you ever go, ask about Profanity Hill, Skid Row and the all-too popular Crapper!
Older part of Seattle, nice atmosphere! Similar to other big cities in US. There are some homeless people around the area which makes the experience a bit intimating. Good selection of cafes and eateries around.
Square is filled with history, but unfortunately, it is also filled with homeless people. It's kind of dirty around the area. A bust of Chief Seattle, the controversial totem pole and a remnant of the world exhibition
Wonderful underground tour and history of early Seattle which is told in a very funny way. As the early settlement flooded the council raised the street level leaving the shops and businesses below ground accessible only by ladder! PS They also stole the totem pole from Canada!
This is much smaller than I thought it would be. Not that enjoyable, with all the homeless people laying around. The totem pole is really cool though.
