Ritz Paris

The Ritz is not the Ritz any more...
Went early December for a double espresso, got a filter coffee. When reclaiming, the waiter made a long face, run away without any excuse.
Just now, called to book the Brunch. "Got the answer, the restaurant staff is busy right now, can you call back pls?" Well, I would expect to get called back.
Such things did not happen in the Ritz in the past. Its time to improve your service levels.

We happen to go stay and dine in the finest hotels around the world. Unfortunately we walked in the hotel with the hope of having some after dinner tea. We inquired with the host if they were serving tea at that time. The lady who welcomed us was very rude and arrogant and prejudiced towards us. I am not sure what is the Ritz’s criteria to hire a staff like this woman. Very disappointing.

This hotel is pretty, but empty. The staff are fake-nice (and rude when being authentic.) They’re only after as much money as possible, and the entire setup is pretentious. Regardless of how wealthy one is, nobody likes to be fleeced and disregarded. We pay for quality. The hotel staff don’t care about their guests in the least, offering robotic service and obligatory responses. Not very welcoming at all. We stayed for several days, and this time our Paris experience was tainted by this hotel’s careless staff and dismissive management. We were treated like we were a hassle, and left to handle our own needs in the end, by leaving the hotel (whereupon they refused to refund the extra days we’d booked too, as a final insult.) Do yourself a favor, skip this greedy farce and stay at a better five star hotel instead. Only nouveau riche can be impressed with this. Much higher quality & much warmer service can be found. Ritz Paris is dreadful if you care about being acknowledged or accommodated respectfully. Posting proof of stay.

The evening of December 15, our experience at the Ritz
Bar was excellent @ 5/5. Rosemary, the hostess, was amazing ... as was the manager of the bar. Thank you both for a great evening and you were a pleasure engage with.

Midday of December 16, we found ourselves intercepted by an overzealous doorman, possibly new to the role, that unfortunately resulted in a much different experience that we would rate @ 1/5. This was disappointing.

In summary - the architecture is incredible. The inside hospitality lovely. But be prepared for inconsistent service on the way in and out of the hotel itself.

Overall a 3/5 based on the mixed experiences.

Excusitive hotel! Luxurious feel in every corner , with outstanding palace like designing. This is one of the mose expensive and exclusive hotel for many reasons I must say .
The food was really good with nice drinks to go with it .
I liked the location too , for the price I must say it was worth it .
No doubt if i visit Paris again I'll check into this hotel again because of the experience it has given me .

I gave it 4 stars because the first deluxe room we got wasn't great, although it overlooked Place Vendome, but the windows were tiny and the room was small. The second room we got the next day was much nicer.
My husband and i fell in love with the hotel, the service, the food, and the location is superb, so we came back after leaving for Monaco for 3 more nights to stay at the beautiful Ritz.

High class experience with high class drinks!

Excellent service and ambiance. The staff are very friendly providing amazing service to everyone who walks through the doors.

The bathrooms are stunning as well.

I highly recommend eating or having a drink on the terrace. Truly so relaxing.

Magnificent location for a wedding and a privilege to be able to attend. The ambiance, service and meals were outstanding. The space, including the external courtyard, and the beautifully maintained gardens provided a relaxing, comfortable venue. In addition nearly every part of the building, inside and out, provided a perfect backdrop for photographs. Difficult to think of a better place for such an event.
