Lulu Regional Office

Wish i could give 0 starts !!!!!
I had to visit this office for some official purpose , The lady in the reception was very rude and did not acknowledge to what i was looking for rather acted as if she is looking after the entire LULU group transactions. Very unprofessional

A heads up on the sustainability rule implemented in sharjah, you are charging 0.25fils per shopping bag, why is your competitor Nesto, Safari etc. not charging it to customers....

A good office setup in a huge building with near parkings suitable for a world wide hyper market network. Inside entry allowed only by handing over our EMID or passport. Friendly staff. Glorious guest reception and waiting area at first floor.

I called up the office for some clarification abt a phone call that l received regarding some prize that l won for shopping at Lulu, as l was talking without even telling me ...the line was transferred. Then another philipina came on thr line and l had to tell her the whole story,she then said she does not know and transferred the line again. Inspite to telling her not to keep me on hold....l was kept on hold forever and ultimately the phone was cut! SERIOUSLY??!! Is this the customer service of Lulu regional office??Appalling !!!!!

Good office and staffs. This is the regional office for Dubai- Sharjah region.

Avoid this company.
Very unethical and unprofessional management.

- Very lengthy interview process
- If your interview is scheduled in the morning 11 am, you will give interview at 3:30 or 5:00 pm
- if you are selected after the rounds, you will be offered peanuts 🥜
- bad attitude and professionalism 👎🏻
- don’t expect too much from this big brand

I applied job to LULU, was very excited to work here. But later it turned out in disappointment.

Why? (Answering for those who have expectations from very big brand in GCC)

I got call from HR saying my job application is shortlisted for the position Customer service rep.

They schedule my interview after 2 days.

1st ROUND
My interview was scheduled at 10:30am, and they took my interview at 3pm roughly.

It was with 3 managers of different dept I believe. They asked very simple questions about my personal life and interest and nothing related to work profile. Interview went well, they told me if you’re shortlist you will be getting a call from HR in few days, i was happy since the interview went well and i left the room with smile.

1 week later-
I mailed them, no response, then i called them back and asked about my job application. I was again told that you’re shortlisted you will be getting a call. I lost my hopes and started looking for other opportunities.

2nd ROUND
After 14-17 days i received a call from HR assistant saying i was shortlisted and they invited me for 2nd round to know things better. By this time I already found another job. I took half day leave to attend the interview since it was scheduled at 11am, thinking i could finish the interview by lunch break and go back to my office.
But guess what? My interview was taken at 5pm (not kidding, after 6 hours) it was so frustrating tbh. Finally my turn came and went inside the interview room, this time they asked me some job related questions and about my experience. i actually applied for CSR position and they had shortlisted me for some other position (i had no clue about the job description and the position, when i asked them even they didn’t know the answer), but they said me that they will provide the training. Interview was done. Again, like any other company here in UAE, you get a call from us if you’re shortlisted for final round. So finally, i left from lulu around 6pm that day.

Got call for final round after 2 weeks again, had to take day off again as i knew how fast the interview process is. (At this point i lost a interest little bit but i was being positive)

FINAL ROUND
Interview was scheduled at 1:30pm, this time i saw less candidates but still my interview was taken around 5:30pm.
4 Managers sitting in front you, with marks sheet and giving marks based on questions and how i answer them. It went well and i was selected. But the salary they offered for my position was way way below our expectations (no negotiations whatsoever, if you try to negotiate some or other manager will interfere and divert the topic. They’re very smart).
For so many sacrifices in this job role they offered us only 2000 aed being such a huge company? C’mon? Later i found out from one of their employees it’s been 2 years they haven’t raised his salary.

If they had to follow they standard procedure when it comes to salary, why did you ask us salary expectations in the first round?? Why didn’t you just tell us we are only giving 2000 aed for this position? Why wasted our time by dragging it so long and turning out in such disappointment?

FINALLY LESSONS TO LEARN HERE:
1. Interview process is slower than a turtle.
2. If you are looking for decent salary package this is not the place to have such expectations.
3. Once you’re selected, minimum 1 month to get your offer letter. (Note they will take all your document copy, take acknowledgment signed about your employment contract, if incase you want to leave the company before completing your 2 years contract, you would have to pay them visa expenses charges and others if applicable. This is mandatory for all).
4. If you get any better opportunity somewhere else, don’t waste your time applying here. Now you know how fast is the process.
5. No friday weekoff and 10 hours work

For candidates, i shared my experience and most of the people who came for interview with me, majority didn’t join.

Rest it’s on you. I hope after seeing this review they change their salary structure and offer competitive salary. Goodluck
