This may very well be the best hotel experience we have encountered throughout our travels. From the level of customer service that began even before we arrived and continued until our departure, all we can say is fantastic. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the hotel, from location, to decor, to history, to service level and quality. Great relaxing and romantic trip. Elizabeth, our concierge, Zyad, the breakfast manager, Sasha, the Mediterranean waiter and Alex, our Rooms Manager were phenomenal. We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Exceptional service by an amazing team. I felt well taken care of and the location could not be more perfect. And the Breakfast was WOW. I recommend renting an e-scooter or taking a bike and riding up the shoreline, about 5-6km and enjoying the sights. Tel Aviv is so beautiful and The Setai is a true gem. Thank you for the beautiful experience

Most of the service was provided on a very low level, when I called room service they just told me that chef was on a break and siding take an order. The ceiling was torn with a crack on AC. The room fragrance was so strong that we barely could breeze in the room for the first hours so decided to leave the windows open the whole time. It was a bad idea because the room is in the corner of the very crowdy and loud Jaffa center. The pool area was so full not just by people but the amount of the sunbeds made look like a train in a rush hour but not a luxury hotel. We took 2 spa treatments, the first treatment was awful for me and for my wife, the second was better. Last day we decided to eat at the bar and it was a mess and low level dishes, the waiter was sorry and folds us that usually they have better food, that’s it. So we left with a “meh” aftertaste where even upon check out nobody asked us about our stay. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you are looking for some chill pleasant luxury stay in Tel Aviv.

My wife and I came to a spa treatment. In short, it was a poor experience. The masseurs had no idea what they were doing (and did not speak Hebrew or English), and I’m baffled that these are the professionals such a presumably high-end establishment would hire. When I tried speaking to the supervisor, she mentioned we should have left 5 minutes after the treatment started if that’s how we felt - which is obviously ridiculous, but then again very appropriate for an Israeli-related service experience. Charge exuberant rates, and blame the client if the service isn’t up to par!

Stay away.

Terrible terrible service. What an beautiful building and hotel, but completely tainted by the service.

This is my 4th stay at the Setai Tel Aviv. On our first day here, our toilet completely broke, and we were moved to a smaller room with slightly better view. Maintenance was slow to come, and all in all took us around 2 hours to get everything sorted. The maintenance guy shushed me as I let him into the room?? They seem annoyed to fulfill any request at all. So confused.

Management and front desk were extremely rude. They were talking amongst themselves most of the time and didn’t seem to bother to help us. The red haired lady at the front desk was rude and annoyed the whole time. The bellboys didn’t help with our 4 bags.

Restaurant waitstaff was inattentive. Rude and stand offish. Did not offer us water and drinks, even though we asked many times.

One bright side to this terrible stay was literally only one of the doormen. Vincent. A true gentleman and nice to us from day one. Asked us about our day and got us water. I wish everyone else at the hotel was like him. Good job Vincent!

After 4 stays at the Setai, I am saddened to say that this experience has let me down. This is not the level of service one would come to expect at a hotel of this caliber and I think management/owners need to have a firm conversation with the team regarding what is Customer Service.

Visited for the day (Spa visit - treatments, breakfast, facilities and pool). The hotel is lovely and feels isolated despite it's bustling surrounding in a great location.

Breakfast was pretty good - wide selection and good quality (mostly, some issues).

The pool is small, but enjoyable and quiet.

The spa didn't have many facilities - a basic gym, dry sauna and hamam. The swedish massage was ok - not bad, not great.

The main complaint is about the service at the spa - some of the staff was very impatient. The others were nice and welcoming, but didn't provide useful information (lockers, bracelets, food and beverage options).

Overall decent experience considering the high day price.

The doorman Mario, on Friday August 4th 2023, has had a behavior both rude and misogynist. I am a woman, and I came there for lunch with my husband. Not our first time in this hotel.

When we arrived, he addressed us in Hebrew. We replied hello in Hebrew, and then I immediately switched to English to inform him that we are very sorry but neither of us can understand Hebrew.
He continued to speak in Hebrew, addressing only my husband. My husband did not reply and looked at me as I told again the doorman Mario that neither of us can understand or speak Hebrew.
While I was speaking, he raised his hand to stop me from talking, and turned again to my husband to address him once more in Hebrew.
At this point, my husband just replied ironically “Perfect, thank you” and we left.

I’ll never return to a place where such a rude behavior is admitted, from staff or customer.
