Everything in one place. Parking and Shopping mall in the basement you don't have to leave the building. The staff are always on hand so helpful security is excellent. I will be back again.
Excellent experience during a couple of nights stay at the Four Seasons Alexandria, the rate is relatively high for Egypt where a single room can exceed 400 USD with only breakfast. The Breakfast is above average and doesn’t meet expectations of a five star hotel with such high nightly rate. Hence the 4 star rating.
Disappointing experience.
Positive:
- Sufficient staff
- Large hallways with luxurious furnishings
- Large rooms
- Relatively quiet but busy main road is audible even at the back of the hotel.
- Easy access to the beach, but the horns and ambulance sirens are audible from the main road - it is strange when you are at the beach having street-noise all the time.
Negatives:
- Beach has plastic scraps and cigarette butts in the sand
- Overpriced (price/performance ratio)
- Controls at the entrance, when entering by car and when changing from the room side to the beach side
Room:
- Worn carpets
- Floor tiles dirty (damp cloth was black with dirt)
- Wall tiles in the bathroom were not fully grouted
Mouldy fruit in the fruit basket
- Toilet bowl not firmly attached (tilted)
Ambience very stiff, everyone feels very important It's ok for a business trip, but totally unsuitable for tourist relaxation.
Maybe you find my concerns to picky but we are still talking about a high rated 5 star hotel - do we?

Beach restaurant is perfect in autumn for a classy calm dinner. The food was great but the service was not, hence the 4 stars. The waiters were clumsy and clueless. Not what you'd expect at the Four Seasons.
This hotel is just amazing. Once you get past the tight security (which is required and apreciated), the hotel is spread over two buildings which are very opulent. Our superior city view room was so gorgous - very roomy and with a large bathroom and best hotel bed we have experienced. The restaurant area is located in the pool area and beach and the hotel has a shopping mall behind it which is quite good. The staff are very professional and pretty much everyone speaks excellent english. We loved this hotel so much that we would visit Alexandria again just to stay at the Four Seasons San Stefano again.
My wife wanted afternoon tea service but I didn’t know we had to reserve 24 hours in advance. But they still put together a tea service for us when we got there. Really beautiful place and great food
