Very interesting historic spot in the northern part of Central Park
Fantastic place in the heart of Central Park keep your kids away from the cliffs or at least keep an eye on them ..

Two canons and a small memorial sign. Nice look out area. It's the "high ground".
Nice sunny exposed part where you can sit and read while taking in the sunshine. Nice views too of the Harlem Meer
Its always great to see a remnant of the past while we live in the present.
Good place to go an unwind and it's a good way to over look to lake
