Colonial Parking

I couldn’t find my ticket to exit at the gate (pro tip, don’t use the walk up pay kiosk, just pay at the gate) but I had a receipt showing I had paid $24 minutes previously. The attendant said he couldn’t help me and pushed the “lost ticket” button which was encouraging me to pay an additional $25. I was freaking out until he finally pushed some kind of customer service button that got a lady on the phone who said all she needed was for the attendant to verify my receipt. He repeatedly walked away from me during the interaction, while I was stuck in my car at the gate, but finally came back over and verified my receipt for the woman. I’m not sure if he gets a kickback when people have to pay twice, or maybe he gets dinged for having to access customer service, but he could see I was panicking and he knew I had already paid (he watched me at the walk up kiosk). Feeling trapped and like I couldn’t get out unless I paid more money was really scary. I would never ever park here again.

Extremely small parking spaces and my car got damaged!!! Parked there last night for 2h and it was $24! There’s barely any room to park your car, I have a new beetle and was glad for it, other people didn’t have the same luck. Clearly someone hit my car with a door trying to get in/out of their car. I’m so disappointed.

The parking spaces are obscenely small, as they try to squeeze every last dollar out of the place. Doesn't look like they even change the width when there's a pillar in the space, making it even more narrow.

Terribly managed and cramped garage

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. The garage is very small you can hardly get out of your car after parking. Then my cousins got stuck on the elevator and the attendant that was working there did absolutely nothing he said he didn't have the keys or the crank to the elevator he would not call 911 to help them as they yelled in distress. I had to call 911 for help and he still made us pay the whole $25 for the parking. He had no remorse he didn't apologize he didn't ask if they were ok or if they needed anything.....they need to be inspected by the fire marshal before someone gets hurt

Awful parking garage. The spaces are so narrow. Pillars make parking in them almost impossible. Backing up or driving into them is hard with the walls being so close. There is only 1 exit that has so much traffic it's hard to get in and out.

They could improve it slightly by removing the spots near the pillars and just making 1 less parking spot per section and making the remaining ones slightly bigger.

Management refused to call police after multiple cars were broken into.
Overnight a car had its front and rear windows smashed in and their stuff thrown all over the garage amidst broken glass.
There are four floors each with a flimsy camera that can easily be turned around by hand, while people are vandalizing your vehicle.
The following night our own car was broken into and our passports, social security cards, and other personal information was sprawled across the next few parking spaces.
More property was targeted, but we didn't stick around to count them all.

EDIT JANUARY 2020 - RESPONSE TO OWNER COMMENT: Don't worry about it, we already contacted the DC police and they're working on it for you. No need for us to email you half a year later; if you need to "look into this issue further" you can just read this review. Maybe call your local PD and help them help you?
