In Golden for another event. This was a close drive and lovely and informative walk along a paved corridor. Many cyclists seem to love the challenge of the climb.

The walk itself (regardless of which end you start on) is an uphill, and then a downhill. It is also on a paved road . Along the way, there are displays with information about what you are looking at. The buses move slowly, but you are sharing the road with them as they bring some of the tourists up and down. It was different than I expected but cool & if it’s the only thing you do, (not the Morrison museum or the exhibit by the visitors center) then it’s free!

This was an amazing experience for our family! It was about a 2 mile walk up to the top and back, and the footprints, bone fossils, and ripples from the water that was once this high were absolutely incredible. We had our three little kids in a stroller and the older two did walk a large portion. Be sure to have sunscreen and water in the summer for kids and adults. This certainly was a highlight of our summer vacation!

I only rate this place on the Merritt's of how fun it is for me and dog. It's a great view and also a great hill and walk for a quick good exercise. Fast bicyclists and a pesky tour bus make for a not so care free walk. Overall cool exhibits and very neat landscape. The dog enjoyed it and I would not recommend on a hot day.

It's a walking trail of nearly a mile more or less. It would a better in summer if you prefer to warmer climate. The footprints n all ll be better visible in summer n not covered in snow. It's such a serene experience n kids would love it ! On either ends of the walk, dinosaur ridge centres are there where there are exhibits and souvenir stores. You might get water there, but food is not available. So, plan accordingly. Reaching this place through public transport is not a feasible option, if you don't have your own vehicle. Restrooms are under repair at the main center which is at one end of the walk.

I’m shocked that I came upon Dinosaur Ridge by accident, and am so glad I did! Amazing dinosaur tracksite (apparently #1 in the United States), with plenty of Dino tracks, informational signage, and geological history. Not to mention great views of the surrounding landscape. Trail is mainly on a paved road, which is closed off to vehicle traffic (except the guide van), and is accessible for wheelchairs, bikes and strollers. I enjoyed this walk so much, and will definitely be bringing friends and family here when they’re in town!

🦕🦖 Dino Alter! Great trail to walk and discover old dino-bones and tracks! Amazing scenic views, signs with informative descriptions and colorful rocks and stones! It’s so beautiful and important for the history of this place in Colorado!
