Beautiful place. Great for family gathering. But on the 9w lookout I had a bad experience. There's a guy that sells hotdogs on a little hotdog car. They other day I went there like I usually do but this time I was paying attention and I noticed that the hotdog bread had green mold on them. My friend was handed his hotdog already and took a bite from it. So I mentioned to the guy that the bread had mold on it so he took the hotdogs out the bread and took the bread that had mold out but said this one doesn't have mold on it. I told him to please change the bread that I didn't want it from the bag that had mold. He ended up getting mad he had to and I couldn't understand why he was mad and saying "You live and you learn" He also was mad that my friend wanted a new hotdog. Now I will never go there again. People health should come first when you are selling food and I didn't see the reason for him to get mad. I was paying full price for the food so why shouldn't I get clean safe food. That experience made me think about that person's responsibility and ability to handle food service. I don't recommend anyone stopping there to eat

Disappointed, I drove around looking for it.
I got lost. It might be off the beaten path on the side of a highway street that doesn't appear accessible and friendly to get.

This place no longer exists other than a sign and an old road which is a dumping ground

Not so much of a hike as a walk, unless you take the deer trails (unmarked trails off of the main, relatively flat path) which I highly recommend - most lead down to driftwood-laden beaches with various ruins. Cool features on the nation path include a train that sometimes goes overhead, if you like trains, and other ruins that are cool, but not safe to explore (also some are filled with trash). One star missing cuz some of the things I like are probably the things that others would hate (like the train and the ruins)
