Ol’ reliable, a staple in our restaurant rotation. Great drinks and food. This place is popular so expect a wait time if you’re walking in.

It’s a bright and open space with booth seats, formal table seats, or outside seating. Service comes from a team of people, the ones who get you started with your experience if it’s your first time there, those who are running your drinks from the bar, food runners from the kitchen, etc. They’re on top of it once you use QR code with your smartphone to access the ordering system online and submit your orders. If you don’t have access to a smart phone, there’s a card you can put on a stand and it flags them down to help you.

The food is always consistently good. They switch it up sometimes with items like the featured taco of the time. The food is always fresh and the drinks come from juices they’ve squeezed that morning. It’s rare to come to bartaco where I do not enjoy the food and drinks here. I’m a big fan of the tuna tatako (it’s a lettuce wrap taco) and the pork belly taco. The margaritas are also the bomb.

Parking available in the garages around Hyde Park Village. Be wary of high traffic times like weekends.

Overall, absolutely amazing place, I recommend the pork belly tacos and spicy chicken verde tacos . I orders the ceviche appetizer and for the price and portion size doesn’t really justify $10 IMO. However, I would definitely come back for the tacos.

Faster service at the bar.

What a great, fun spot with a cool vibe and concept. The greeter was so happy and really seemed to enjoy his job. Make reservations if you can, though we only waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday around noon. Shops are close by if you want to spend a few minutes until they call you. There are two ways to order... On your phone or via a paper menu. We used the phone and drinks and food were delivered directly to you. My favorites were the ceviche (appetizer) and pork belly tacos!

This is an interesting restaurant indeed. I think I might be getting old as I didn’t quite understand the concept. The tacos were delicious and served well. We were seated at these tables that were knee high which I didn’t quite get. Definitely seems like a trendy place to have drinks with friends. My girl loves this place so we’ll probably be back. It probably would of been better if I actually drank alcohol but whatever, still a neat restaurant.

Overall really enjoyed the surrounding and atmosphere. The service was quick because you pull up the menu on the phone and order/pay on your phone then someone brings the food over. However, none of the tacos gave me a “wow” factor. Just average. Their line was super dry and some of the meat tasted dry/old. Their tres leches tasted like oatmeal and their churros tasted old/sandy. I would recommend coming with friends to hang out but don’t expect too much from the tacos.

Great atmosphere! Excellent service! I tried three different tacos and they were delicious! Three sauces are amazing! Highly recommend such a great spot!

Roughly a 40 min wait, but you can walk around as they text when your table is ready(time flew). Appetizers were delicious. Spicy Cucumber salad with platanos and the side cream pair nicely. The guac, Roja(fav), verde and chips appetizer didn't disappoint. We were so excited, we ordered a variety of tacos (Baja fish, spice chicken Verde, chili lime shrimp, glazed pork belly, sesame rib eye, roasted duck). Sadly disappointing, though. Not much flavor, very little proteins and tacos were tiny. We also tried the kids steak quesadilla, which surprisingly was really good. Overall, it was a bit of a letdown but might return and try the peruvian style chicken. Staff was very welcoming.
