Vieux Belleville

This was the highlight of our trip to Paris. We went for Edith Piaf night and it was a ton of fun. The Piaf wine was especially good and the food was very tasty too.

Wir haben uns mal wieder sehr wohl gefühlt. Tolle Atmosphäre, Gastfreundschaft und sehr gutes Essen. Singen mit Ninel macht immer wieder große Freude. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne. Nun erkennt man uns schon :) Liebe Grüße aus Gelsenkirchen.

Es wurde extra für uns geöffnet. Essen gut, Livemusik der Extraklasse. Ohne Speisekarte hat uns der Preis doch überrascht.

Loved our evening at Vieux Belleville. We wanted to visit since I’d heard about the Edith Piaf song night four years ago. Only Tuesday nights. Last May 2023 was the first time we were in Paris on a Tuesday night. It was wonderful. So much fun.

We came here after watching the documentary. The place is absolutely lovely. Almost as if you join some friend's table and spend the night in a very familiar way.

We liked it so much that we went there two times during our stay. The food was rather good, but not amazing. From the options I tried, steak is the recommended. A vegetarian plate was also prepared on request with a multitude of things and it was very tasty.

The athmosphere is magnifique, you sing you feel welcomed and although it may get loud, you easily get a sense of privacy in you table. The music is joyful and energetic and lifts the mood while still mantaining some lightness.

This is a place we will come back again and again everytime we visit Paris.

The warmth of French people can be experienced here. I was taken here by a dear local friend. This tiny restaurant is different from any place I’d been to in Paris. You eat, you drink, you sing the legendary Piaf songs, and you feel the joy of the people here. A totally unique experience in Paris. Oh and I love the beef here.
