Woman in info desk was awful and discriminatory!

Was denied access to the disabled toilet because I “don’t look disabled.” I tried explaining to the angry Italian jobsworth toilet attendant that I actually am disabled but he didn’t speak a word of English and put himself between me and the disabled toilet and ordered me downstairs. I had a panic attack and then the toilet attendants were confused as to why I was crying.

Train your staff better. Not all disabilities are visible.

The gift shop is outside the secure area - you do not need to have a ticket to visit it. There are some things you can ONLY get here but prices are quite high.

We were very disappointed because, in a place where people should be kind to one another as the example of our Pope, we were very rudely treated by the staff of the gift shop in the San Peters Square.

I've visited the place to buy two stamps for the postcards that I wanted to send.

I've ended up leaving it quite frustrated, first, despite asking for the cheapest available option the post cashier tried to scam me by selling me two stamps for €5 each, then trying the same again but with €15 pope-stamp collection. I've finally ended up paying €1.5 per stamp.

The cashier kept the €2 change and thanked me for the "voluntary offer".

Sad to see the tourist traps (or rather pilgrim traps in this case) pop up even in such places.

i was asking about the ticket for the Papal Audience and the woman i spoke here told me to walk 23mins to get the ticket. i didnt believed that so i just look for someome to ask again. i got my ticket only 2mins away from this area. Thank you so much for the useless information.lol

We had a really wonderful time in Vatican City and really enjoyed ourselves. The one star is for the ridiculously rude and grumpy cashier in the gift shop who obviously didn’t want to be there, and I hope he gets his wish and finds a new job :)
