It's a unique environment, history lovers will be pleased seeing the second world war exhibition. Animals are also quite interesting, the fish-pet aquarium on the ground level was one favorite stop of my children. Hammerhead sharks are also bring the wow experience, but the plastic tunnel is not as great as in Tropicarium in Budapest.

Totally worth it, but consider to arrive by public transportation. There is no parking place at the building except the streets around which cost a lot.

If you buy your tickets online then entering will be much faster.

Absolutely fantastic. You pay 21 euros full adult price to see plenty of kinds of aquatic animals but also tropical ones and many different bugs. Then you go to the top floor and there is a mini museum about the military past of the tower which used to be an anti-aircraft tower during WW2.There are precious historical artifacts. And when you finally finished the exhibitions you can rest at the top floor where there is a cafe/ restaurant bar. I highly recommend it if you visit Vienna for a few days

This was a very interesting aquarium, mainly because it wasn't only an aquarium. We loved the "jungle/forest" walk through areas with monkeys and birds--they were an awesome surprise. Those areas were also immaculately clean and all the animals looked healthy and well cared for.

Despite our delight with all the other animals, the layout of the aquarium itself was super confusing. There were two staircases on opposite sides of each level, with people moving in all directions, so it made it hard to figure out whether we had seen everything on a given level without wandering around in circles a bit. There were some nice educational pieces throughout and I guess the highlight was the large tank with the small sharks. We also liked the touch tank at the end, which was happily located next to a bathroom for easy hand washing afterwards.

We visited on a Friday at 11:30a and it was quite crowded. We didn't get to spend as much time just taking in the animals as we would have if there had been fewer people. Also, the open air areas with monkeys, etc had employees monitoring them, but none of the aquarium levels had employees present and there were several times kids were banging on the tanks and screaming, despite there being signs everywhere to respect the animals' quiet. We stayed for 2 hours, which was more than enough. The gift shop had lots of cute (albeit overpriced) stuffed animals for sale.

The place is better than the zoo. There are rooms where the animals can move freely around you. Definitely recommend. Also, no one checked our tickets when we came in from the cafe because we were there first.

Fine place with a lot of interesting exhibitions and animals, we spent almost 3 hours there. There is a fast line if you have online tickets. Parking house is 5 min away, about 4 eur/hour

One of the best places in Vienna Austria to look for exotic animals and birds.
Some people may say the tickets are a bit too high, but I would say please look at this way these exotic animals need special care and attention. There needs to be a good Veterinary Doctor on site round the clock to ensure the animals are always in the best of health for us.
It's also important to note that the costs of running the water filtration plants don't come free. So in good faith I personally feel that one should not complain about the costs of the entry tickets but rather look at the hard work and the efforts being put in but this institution being put in so that we and our children can see nature in its full splendor in the City of Vienna.

Great place with lots of fish and animals. You can feed some of them for extra money. Very relaxing. Advising to start from level 10 and go down and then take the lift to level 11 and enjoy the amazing view on the city. The restaurant there is too expensive and the hot chocolate we ordered was not quite good. The entrance price is aprx.22 euros , children under 3 are free. I think the price is a bit high for this experience though. But you can buy an annual ticket if you like this place and the price is very reasonable for it.
