One of the greatest palaces in the world. We visited this palace on 02-09-2023 in our trip to Paris from Edinburgh. This palace is huge and at the same time so beautiful. It has a huge collection of paintings of the royal family, the king and queen and their family members. Also full with antique items. It has a garden behind, which is also amazing. You need one full day to discover the in and out and all the paintings, sculpture, garden and the other things. If you come to Paris, this palace is a must visit.

So much history and so much to see. We took advantage of the breakfast option to beat the queues and it was a good idea. The crowds are always huge at this place but pretty much well behaved too. There are many guide options on offer from live to recorded self tours. We chose the gawk and wander approach. It was stunning to see the various moments in history and the hall of Guerre is a must see.

My weekend visit to Versailles Palace was exceptional. Despite weekend crowds, the experience was smooth. The Hall of Mirrors and State Apartments were breathtaking. The Gardens were a tranquil escape.

You can download the audio guide online, which enhances the experience compared to the museum’s guide. Don’t miss this regal gem!

We couldn’t book tickets advance so we just headed there hoping to get them in person. We got the passport for €31 which is more expensive than the online ticket. I would suggest to get your tickets online to save money.
It’s a huge place and an hour away from Paris so you’d probably spend the day there. We spent 4-5 hours exploring the palace and the gardens.
Everything is magnificent!

I visited a few weeks back in the end of July! It rained and we did not get to enjoy the yards! Other than that this is such a beautiful and magical place to visit! We had the early tickets and spent the whole day! Would need to visit again to get a better feel of the entire place.

If you are a history lover, it’s a must visit place for you. Book tickets in advance. We took Paris Pass in which this place was included.

You will be amazed by the vastness of this place. It will take around 5 hours if you want to rigorously explore this place. Use the public transport like bus to arrive here from any place 😀🇫🇷

Palace of Versailles was the home of many powerful and famous French royalty. It was also the place where Napoleon Bonaparte lived as Emperor. The palace is an embodiment of grandeur, beauty and aesthetics. The gardens are phenomenal and vast.
If you are looking for anything about various treaties then you are in for a big disappointment, no mention of any treaties viz world wars etc.
