Amazing sea food restaurant. People who love sea food must visit here when in Cochin. King prawn grill was an awesome dish...Each plate will have three pcs of king prawn. There are a wide range of dishes to choose from....the spread in the tray they offer looks so yumm.....youll feel like you want to taste everything!!!! So trying most of the dishes is possible since the portions they give are in small quantities..
For meals there is rice, fish curries, dal kulambu, two types of poriyal, papad, pickle, chutney and for the dessert, you will be treated with Kerala style payasam....
The hospitality is absolutely great....each and every staff who were attending to guests, always had a smile on their faces.....they are all an asset to the restaurant!!!!

I recently discovered a commendable hotel in the vicinity of Kochi city. Impressed by the excellent food, service, and hospitality, as well as ample parking space, the only drawback is the absence of air-conditioning in the hall, making it uncomfortably hot during the summer.
If you are looking for a decent place to have naadan food then Tharavadu is for you. The place is neat and clean and the staff is very pleasant. Apart from rice they also serve chicken biriyani and fish biriyani. As for special dishes they serve prawns, squid, karimeen or pearl spot, crab, lobster etc. The food is very delicious.
I am told this is one of the best Sea Food Restaurants around by my host. You want to have a quick meal of good sea food, then this is the one for you. They have a Thali and then they bring you an assortment of sea food dishes to take along with Thali. Pretty fast service - like Andhra mess style but with lots of dishes. Each side dish can cost you about INR 250-300 (in addition to Thali). If you are a foodie and like sea food, then you will enjoy. You do not need to know how to take meat out of a Lobster or a crab as they serve you just meat - ready to eat. Ambience is pretty basic - like a mess as I mentioned earlier.

Visited this hotel after seeing so many reviews. Food is good. They serve different types of fish fries and curry. Meals are normal, with sambar, fish curry etc. Good place to have lunch with your family in a budget friendly hotel.
One of the best seafood restaurant on the national Highway. They had served variety of fishes and duck roast. We had meals prawn fry crab meat..The meals is normal rated. There are variety of fishes in fish dishes which will be brought in front of you during your meal. All the dishes they served was excellent. I would recommend anyone who wish to taste real seafood to visit Tharavad…. Wide car parking area also
