I've visited the Pier on Toronto's Centre Island countless times, often taking my friends on bike rides to explore this beautiful island. Over the years, I've been to Toronto Island more than a hundred times, and it remains an incredible green oasis in the heart of the city. What sets this place apart is that, except for ambulances and fire trucks, you won't find cars here. It's a car-free paradise.
There's a lovely beach where you can swim and play in the sand, making it a perfect destination on its own or a convenient stop during your island adventure. I highly recommend bringing your bike or some other form of wheels because the island is quite expansive, and you can expect a lot of walking otherwise.
One of the reasons I keep coming back is the abundance of attractions. There are excellent beaches, well-maintained paths, numerous parks, and even the option to rent a canoe or boat for exploration. The island is also teeming with wildlife and offers a chance to connect with nature.
One piece of advice: bring a good backpack stocked with water and snacks since there aren't many places to buy food and drinks, and the options available tend to be on the pricier side. However, given that it's pretty much your only choice on the island, it's worth planning ahead.

Had a good time spend with family and friends, loved the garden, the lake view from the deck was amazing . Park was super crowded after 3/4 hours walk when we decided to leave and came near the ferry terminal the queue was never ending. Huge lineup took 45 minutes to board.
Never miss this gem. Ok so here’s how you go about it. Land on centre island. Go for the Jack Layton Terminal and get a buggy ferry for free if you are cheap. Honk-honk! Or go for a water taxi you will find anywhere in the harbourfront. There are many options like tiki taxi, harbour tours, pirate etc. Some stay open till 11:30 to bring you back. Also for some taxis, babies travel free. Now once you are in Center island, do not, I repeat do not miss the Pier. Walk straight and then turn left and go straight till you teach the pier. Once you are there, click tons of pics and you will see that the Lake looks like an ocean. Great place for all age groups except if you are old and have a leg problem. If you can lift your grandpa, then he too can breath a bit of fresh air and take a few pics before the candle blows on his life. Anyways, take a barbeque, a bikini set for the missus or the chick you are dating and a kayaking board. It’s worth it. Beach, Pier partryyy!!

Really neat to look across Lake Ontario although it's so huge that all you can see is water until the horizon. Very roomy pier so it can accommodate many onlookers at once. There's a few benches to sit on at the end but not enough that you'd want to spend a lot of time there. Nice mural painted on the floor
Another great experience! Definitely recommend doing if you’re visiting Toronto. The cruise itself to get to the pier is only about 15 minutes. Once you’re on the island, there’s an abundance of things to do (roller coasters, food, biking, sunset watching, etc). However, rides and restaurants close at 8/830 pm so I would suggest going before then. The boats come back every 30 or so minutes, so you can stay as long as you want!
