ibis Rio de Janeiro Nova América

It was terrible experience, one day with a cold water in the shower and other day without any drop. The front desk never picked up the phone. I was in a business trip with a group of people.

No intercom in the room to speak to reception. If one needs any thing, he has to go to reception personally.
My room was flooded with rain water. I had to run to reception several times to shift to another room.
The rain water entered their ground floor also through the ceilings!

We had a much needed rest at the Ibis Novo America in Rio de Janeiro after a grueling time arranging for the compensations for our cancelled flight.

The hotel is about a 20-minute ride from the airport.

Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

The room is comfortable; and has a nice view of the  skyscrapers against a backdrop of mountains.

This is good location, right at shopping mall area. Room is small but clean. However the service is quite poor, it took a very long time at check in. It seems receptionist have no attention in their works and have no clue what are they doing. So we afraid of check out, we had to pay all and got the bill then we didnt have to do any when check out.

The hotel is inside Nova America mall which is very helpful. Rooms are nice, although i got a room with some smoke smell in bathroom even though im a non-smoke area. Previous guest was probably smoking there. Service is fine, everyday around 11am room maid comes to keep room tidy.

It's a great cost x benefit like all the Ibis Budget . Comfortable for those seeking a place to sleep and take a shower , because despite having litter box and air conditioning , the room was very small. I was in a room with a double bed and above the bed, like a bunk bed type , a single bed. Privacy is almost zero. The shower space is restricted , so the people who will have to host enough intimacy.
The breakfast is reasonable for the value. With two or three types of fruit, plain cake, cheese and bread. They also offer coffee or juice.
The receptionists are extremely thoughtful, always try to help and are very friendly.
The location of the Ibis Budget is very good. Being close to bus stops,
to be "inside" the shopping mall and especially the subway station side, the it can get to most places with the subway.
