I did a style shoot at this terrific DC wedding venue! I love the blend of modern decor within the historic architecture of the rooms. It is a very beautiful elegant venue!! Staff is excellent!

This venue is PERFECT for an engagement session. In the winter time, I shot an engagement session here and this space photographs great!!

This space is always perfect for small intimate weddings as well.

I had my wedding on May 7th at the Patterson Mansion and I could not have asked for a better wedding venue. It is a mixture of modern and historic architecture which gave my wedding a classy, elegant yet sophisticated feel. The spaces were cozy and intimate which was perfect for my smaller wedding. I looked all over the DMV for a unique, modern and cozy wedding venue and nothing else holds a candle to the Patterson Mansion. I am so thankful for the event coordinators Carl and Daniel who were incredibly professional and instrumental in making the wedding of my dreams come into fruition. Even during the shift in event coordination management (from Carl to Daniel) everything was communicated and executed seamlessly. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to host my wedding at this venue.

Moreover, we also booked rooms to stay at the Patterson Mansion/ Oakwood Suites in the days leading up to our wedding and were incredible impressed with the quality of the rooms, the amenities in the rooms and the cleanliness. We will definitely recommend to others.

Awesome experience, beautiful quaint architecture, and ambiance. It was the perfect place for my daughter's celebration. Everyone had ball!

Patterson Mansion is a beautiful space to host a small social gathering. They were the perfect place for our intimate wedding in 2020. The building is gorgeous and the staff is wonderful to work with - extremely hospitable. If you're not in the market to host an event, they are one of D.C.'s best kept secrets for a casual drink with friends. When not in use by a private event, you can visit their lounge for a beer, glass of wine, or cocktail from their talented bartender.

The Patterson Mansion is a historic mansion just off of Dupont Circle. It was built as the Washington, D.C. home of the editor of the Chicago Tribune in 1903 by the famous architect Stanford White (It's the only building designed by him in the city). The mansion passed onto the editor's daughter, Crissy, where it became the center of D.C.'s elite social scene. President Calvin Coolidge and his wife, Grace, stayed here when the White House was renovated. After Crissy passed away, the mansion was given to the Red Cross until the Washington Club bought the building. Now it's modernized into residences and an event space.

The mansion itself is beautiful. It's a neo-classical building with a modern extension for the residences/hotel (you can book a unit through Expedia). The mansion has a grand staircase leading to the second floor with the common areas. There's a large lounge with a bar, a library, a kitchen (with breakfast for guests), and a balcony looking over Dupont Circle. The other floors house 90+ units.

If you're looking for an event space that evokes D.C.'s past, this is a great location!
