Fancy dining room, but the food was the star! Very tasty dimsum staples (siu mai, har gow, phoenix claws). Well made and steamed perfectly. The pan fried pork buns were also quite good. Where they fell short was the lack of sufficient flavor in their Singapore Rice Noodle. It lacked the right color and "wok hei" and peppers needed to make it stellar. Good. But not great. Tea was refilled often and parking, as usual was abysmal.

I wouldn’t say this is the #1 Shanghai restaurant in LA despite of its name, but there are some dishes that are worth trying: Shanghai smoked fish is crispy and tender at the same time with the right amount of sweetness and sourness; pickled mustard and cuttlefish brought back childhood memories; signature rice soup is a great new creation of an old tradition; pickled mustard shredded pork noddle is just how I remembered it. The only dish we didn’t like is the braised pork belly - feels stale, not tender, many of my friends make better version than this: a bit disappointed at this signature dish on the very first page of the menu. High caliber service! Many party rooms with various sizes for private gathering.

The presentation of the Smoke Fish is impressive. In general, dishes are strong flavored. Must eat with rice.

Haven’t been here for ages, guess nothing much changed. The service still excellent. And food still considered good and I am just surprised they haven’t raise the price much. The decorations may need a bit of renewal. Overall, is a good place to have some decent Chinese food.

I came here for the weekday special—all small, medium, and large dimsum are $4.99 each. I honestly was surprised by the quality of the food and can say this is some of the best dim sum I’ve had in the 626. I really enjoyed the egg tarts and the black pepper ribs.

There’s a ton of seating inside the restaurant. The outside might look a little janky but the food is good. It’s located on the second floor, in the same plaza as boiling point! Service was good too.

The food here is absolutely delicious!!! We celebrated our friends’ baby’s birthday in a private room and it was fantastic. From the cold appetizers to the main entrees and everything in between, plus the hot chrysanthemum tea, everything was great, and also 100% approved by a Shanghainese friend. I would recommend and come back.

Food was amazing. Service was great. Came in at 8pm and service was very fast. Prices were decent, around 10-20 for regular dishes and 60 for the crab. The food was creative and exceptional. Parking was good
