Good Jewish food in Tel Aviv, pricing is a bit high and the gefilte is a bit too sweet. The chicken soup with knidelsis very tasty 🌸

This place has great Ashkenazi food in a modest environment. Although it's a little out of the way, it's worth it! It's more like fine Jewish family dining than a New York kosher deli (which is all we have where I am from). Excellent kreplach and cholent. Even my kids loved it. I wish this restaurant delivered to New York! Ha. Ha.

Anyway, I also ate at another Ashkenazi/Eastern European restaurant that was a little closer to the touristy areas near the beach and hotels. It was not as good as the Shmulik Cohen Restaurant.

I hope to return to this restaurant the next time I'm in Israel. Todah rabah.

To be perfectly honest, I don't like eastern European food in general. I dined there with my wife and her family. There were only two dishes on the menu that I could eat, both of them were pretty average.

The atmosphere is not very pleasant as the place is small and does not smell very well.

was there yesterday with my brother. our expectations were high based on our last visits there a few years ago. the disappointment was bigger than the expectations. except the friendly service the food was tasteless, way too overpriced. definitely our last visit there.

I've visited the place for several times. It was an excellent experience. However the both of my Wolt orders from the restaurant were poor. Once I've got something non-tasty, in the next order they've sent me something that I've didn't order instead of the items I've expected to get.

Delicious Eastern European Jewish cuisine. From Gefilte fish to chopped liver. The area and location is a bit weird, also having to ring to be to be allowed in, but once you're inside, it feels home

There aren’t many places left in Tel Aviv to get proper Jewish east european food. This is probably the best one, it’s kosher so closed on the weekend. Also note that this is an “old school” restaurant with white maps and fancy dishes, kind of like being in grandma’s house.
