A lovely zoo, with lots to see and mostly great animal enclosures (large, and full of appropriate habitat for the animals). As a couple, it took us 6 hours to see almost everything (missed out the kids trail). Both the Free Flight and the Seals shows were well put together and worth watching. Most of the animals were visible, which given it was a hot day was unexpected. On a Sunday it was busy but not horribly so.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Taronga Zoo, particularly the gorilla enclosure, where observing the animals' interactions provided a captivating experience. The seal show was both educational and entertaining, showcasing some impressive tricks. The penguin area allowed a unique perspective, watching these fascinating birds from below the surface. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the reptile section, which appeared dated in its presentation, reminiscent of the mid-1990s. Despite this, the overall experience was delightful, with the standout moments making it a memorable visit.

Taronga Zoo exceeded my expectations during my recent visit. The diverse range of animals, captivating exhibits, and the backdrop of Sydney Harbour create a unique and memorable experience. The staff's friendliness and expertise added to the enjoyment. It's a fantastic destination for families, nature lovers, and anyone seeking a meaningful connection with wildlife.

A lovely zoo with amazing Sydney city & harbour views. Can be accessed by bus, car & ferry & we went ferry both ways (short trip from Circular Quay). Buses available from ferry up hill to main entry. There is also an entry at bottom near ferry.

Lots of animals including Australian- opportunity for koala photos & walking amongst kangaroos & emus.

Sadly chairlift not working, with other issues with up escalators & also 1 lift. Meant additional walking.

Food is very average in food court - $40 for a couple of chicken meals & an ice-cream. Could buy drinks incl alcohol.

Various ticket options - cheaper to buy online. Cashless zoo now.

Always worth a visit.

We had an amazing experience at this zoo in Sydney, which we consider the best ever. The variety of animals is impressive. The koala area is a must-see, and the well-designed layout offers different sections for animal viewing, along with beautiful skyline views of the city. It's highly recommended, especially for families with kids. We spent six hours exploring everything, including fantastic bird and seal shows, and the zoo also provides stunning views of Sydney Harbour. On-site parking is plentiful, and the spacious, modern animal enclosures are in excellent condition. A must-visit for anyone in Sydney for a few days.

My day at Taronga Zoo was truly unforgettable. The endless variety of animals roaming their “homes” brought so much joy to everyone around. The numerous event featured (extremely) well-trained animals, which added a magical touch to the entire experience. It was a sight witnessing the incredible bond between the animals and their dedicated trainers. I’d especially like to point out the level of care and attention to detail in every presentation. I left with a deeper appreciation for wildlife and environmental conservation. Taronga Zoo isn't just a zoo; it's a place where you connect with nature on a whole new level. Highly recommend for a heartwarming and educational day out!

A fantastic zoo. We stayed 6 hours here and feel we saw pretty much everything including the excellent bird and seal shows and a stop for lunch. The zoo offers amazing views of Sydney Harbour as a bonus. Parking is on site and plentiful. The animal enclosures are large, modern and in good condition. A must visit for those in Sydney for a few days.
