Gyro Xpress

Looks like a generic hole in the wall, I expected unremarkable ("okay") food. Instead, I was surprised by the excellent food quality. They obviously take pride in what they do and are not looking for the simplest and easiest version of the dish but rather are trying to make something really good, and succeeding. I had the lentil salad and the Greek salad and I was impressed with both.

Also portions were large and the guy was very friendly. Highly recommend and will definitely be back

I give a 1 star bc I am buy a lentil soup and really salty and when you taste is just salty water with color but any taste to lentil soup

The ultimate neighborhood spot. Food is solid, portions are large, prices are reasonable for SF. & service is very fast.

Despite how much great food there is in this city, it is hard to find a no frills, good, quick & easy Mediterranean spot SF.

The honest review is that this is more of a 4.5 but I think their reviews have been unfair to date.

Great food with late night dining that's not bad at all. Busy bar crowd is only thing that can make you think twice before ordering ( delivery option available) and heading out to pick up or to sit down and eat late night. Phone order highly recommended. Friendly staff and safe neighborhood. 2 thumbs up

My wife had the Greek Salad with Lamb & Beef Gyro. I had a Lamb & Beef Gyro Wrap with fries. First, the service here is excellent. They move fast, and they're friendly. And the menu prices are very reasonable.
My wife loved her Greek Salad; she has tried many of them and says this one is her favorite. That says a lot!
My gyro wrap was delicious, but it wasn't a traditional gyro, which I'm an elitist about, but it was a delicious gyro. The meat was perfect, the seasoning was excellent, and they wrapped it up tight, burrito style. The fries were crispy, not greasy, and had a lot of flavors. It was a light, spicy Mediterranean flavor.
I've already recommended Gyro Express to some friends living in the area.

I saw a great review about this place and I was really exited to try, sadly I was really disappointed. The place has indoor and outdoor dining. You have to go order in the cash register and wait for your food then you can just sit wherever you want to. When I was ordering my food the server asked to see my vaccination card so I asked him if I needed it to eat outside(because my friend isn't vaccinated) he was kind of rude but he said no. When we received or wraps they were wrapped in a weird way there was foil inside the wrap it was kind of hard to eat. There was nothing especially about this place. I wouldn't come back.
