Shoshone Fall located in the Shoshone Falls Park In Idaho, USA is a beautiful fall that changes according to the flow of the Snake river. The nearby city has been called Twin Falls since the falls are two. The falls are one wide on the north and one smaller and a yet smaller one further south. There is a fourth fall above stream.

The “Niagara Falls of the West” was very anticlimactic. I was so disappointed to not see the full water running. It is because they are trying to clean out the invasive species mussels that will kill off the natural species.

Absolutely astonishing view, the waterfall was so beautiful and mesmerizing. Great for background pictures. Will definitely try to kayak next time I'm here.

It is great to see the falls from the bottom. I kayaked to the falls in August. Departed from Centennial Park around 9:30 am and returned around 2:30 pm. It's a fairly easy trip. The current isn't a significant factor. The water smelled swampy though, so I didn't bother swimming.

I think it depends when you go but the falls are gorgeous! At the beginning of Spring, there is more water but once it is diverted for farming, there is less. But it still looks great!! You'll get some great views and pics!

$5 gets you into both the lake and falls...beautiful scenery! Restrooms and even a gift shop at the falls. Not many stairs to get good views of the falls, but good views even without the stairs.
Beautiful views of the canyon/gorge!

Captain Ahab of Ahab's Adventures is an avid waterfall hunter and this is one of note! We got a local recommendation to hit up the falls early because it is a popular destination in the area. Though only half of the entire expanse had water flowing this particular day, if was still a site to behold. It is compared to Niagara and in some ways it is much better in terms of access, but Niagara is still overall the winner in comparison.
