Bamyan Afghan Cuisine

Bamyan Afghan Cuisine, with its unique atmosphere, provided a delightful experience distinct from other branches we've visited in Toronto. It had a charming, family-run feel to it. Trying Afghan dishes there was a wonderful journey into new flavors and culinary traditions. The authenticity of the food and the homely ambiance made our visit truly memorable.

My friend ordered mantu from here before and I tried it so yesterday I was craving it and came to try the other food on the menu. Everything was hot and fresh (didn’t get a pic of the mantu cus i ate it so fast 😂)

I recently visited this restaurant and while the ambience was small and not very conducive to sitting and enjoying a meal, the food was absolutely amazing. The beef dishes were especially mouth-watering and cooked to perfection. The customer service was also top-notch, with the staff being attentive and friendly throughout my meal.

Despite the lackluster ambience, the delicious food and excellent service more than made up for it. If you're looking for a great meal and don't mind a small space, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared for a cozy and intimate dining experience.

I have ordered Sultani which costs 16.99
Consist of 1 Skewer of Ground Beef and 1 Skewer of Tenderloin, Rice or Fries with salad. The portion was enough for two people . I couldn’t even finish
My friend ordered Waziri which costs 15.99 Consisting of 1 Skewer of Ground Beef and 1 Skewer of Chicken Breast Kabab, Rice or Fries with salad Double Chicken.

To be fair, this isn't how their food normally is. But, also, my lamb chops looked like they had been mummified and I couldn't eat them. They were so burned and chewy. I did not ask for my money back as I really do enjoy eating here, but if you ask for the lamb skewers, be advised that that are lamb chops and ask for them rare :)

Sorry, I had to update the review to 1 star after trying to eat another lamb chop and seeing the other reviews. You clearly are getting the feedback from so many ppl about how dry the meat is and you are unwilling to make any changes I guess I won't be eating here any more, but I do wish you the best.

The portion was good for the amount we paid for (~14/each). We ordered the sultani and the kofta kebab. Both orders were very filling and delicious. The meat was a bit dry but the flavour was tasty. The rice was moist and flavourful. I think they sprinkled some sumac over the meat and rice. The naan was different from what we expected and it tasted like a nice toasty slide of bread. On the side there was a light (and what seemed like a yoghurt?) dressing that tasted like ranch and another sauce that was sweet, sour, acidic and a little spicy. The cashier was nice and the order came quickly(~5mins)

We’re from out of town and were excited to try Bamiyan based on the reviews. Unfortunately it was like a visit to the Windsor salt factory. Super salty kabobs. The sauces didn’t help. We ordered a Kabob platter with chicken tikka kebabs and a beef kabob, Chapli kabob and the Kabuli Pulao platter with lamb shank. The lamb shank on the other hand was totally tasteless. Meat was tender but it lacked any kind of seasoning. The rice was just okay. Platters come with salad and Afghan bread.
For pros, place was clean, bathroom was clean. Food tasted fresh.
Don’t get the high ratings. Totally underwhelming experience. Not worth the price plus cost of parking.

Totally relived that I found this place, was in the hunt for a good chk wrap n this place has one. They sell one for $5.99 and it is very filling. The pic here is a chk dinner. The rice was the best part. Been here many many times since the past two years and the food is consistently good. Will keep coming back for sure.
