**DO NOT MOVE HERE**

the ONLY people who are worth getting a sentence out of is Summer and Jenny. I had lived here for almost 3 years. The first year besides minor problems were durable. After, it was a complete spiral on my mental and physical health...

I had a water leakage for over a year and had multiple work orders put in and documented. Like everyone else says "they just patch or paint over it"...the pipes finally gave in and busted which caused my bathroom and kitchen to flood. if it was fixed properly and maybe had a real plumbing company brought in I believe the issues would have been resolved.....

in the lease if you READ CAREFULLY they have a section where it states YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MILDEW AND MOLD MAINTENANCE. *THEY ARE BASICALLY STATING THEY KNOW THEY HAVE MOLD PROBLEMS* but im sorry once it is out of control you need professional treatment...The bath water at least twice a week was "black" when turned on due to "debris in the pipe"..yeah right, no wonder the pipes gave in...the rodent and bug problems are now uncontrollable due to the buildings on Valley Ave being so old. I do have video proof and was told again "it was debris and normal"

Ashley, is the most unprofessional, unkindly person you will ever encounter.. these people make you feel de humanized and that you are just rubbish on the street, when in reality I paid rent almost two weeks early each month.

I have been out of there for a month and I feel like a different human...down to the water I bathe my child in every night.

Just overviewing the properties and was highly overwhelmed. They are really asking for the most outrageous non refundable fees. 600 non refundable for a pet. 400 for “redecoration” fees. I’m not understanding

It would be great if someone here could figure out what communication is. I sent a message in the portal, called, and emailed over the course of 1 week. Nobody ever picked up or responded. I really wanted a townhome more than an apartment and this place seemed perfect, but no way I'm renting without a tour. It's not hard to just respond to 1 of 3 inquiries. Definitely doesn't inspire confidence if I were to rent here.

Update: I received an email about availability for the property I did not inquire about. I wanted the HOMEWOOD TOWNHOMES as clearly stated. I was sent a link to an apartment in Mountain Brook. I understand staffing issues, but really?

These apartments all over Birmingham tend to be on the aged side, at least the properties I am aware of. My son, during his senior year in college, lived in Homewood on Valley Ave. The move in was kind of a mess-there was no touching up paint of cleaning so they moved into a very old unit that had only had it's floors PAINTED recently. Yes, it peeled up badly. There was mold that was never addressed as well as leaks that were never fixed. Now, they fall back on the fact that out of a $350 security deposit, only $150 is refundable. The other $200?? They reserve for "Redecoration fees." They certainly hadn't spent any money on the unit before we moved my son in. I will never recommend any of their units or their company.

We were considering renting from Redmont until we were shown the first apartments on Valley Ave. The company did not notify the tenant we were coming and the apartment was a total, disgusting disaster. It appalled me that the renters were given no warning so they could clean up. The second viewing of another apartment would have been ok if they hadn't shown up 30 minutes late without any notification. I had to call the office to inquire why we were waiting. They don't seem to care!

I took over someone's townhome lease via craigslist for six months. I can not wait to get out. They have an extreme cockroach and bug problem - I'm not even kidding when I say everyday I have to kill a giant cockroach or spider...little bugs always running around. They don't keep up with their townhomes. I have HUGE cracks running through my house & even after telling them to come repair it - no one showed up. Nothing is clean - I have mold that won't seem to go away no matter how many times I clean it. They've been showing my apartment & they'll leave lights on and doors unlocked. Terrible.
